Delyan Slavov bass

 

Delyan Slavov graduated in opera singing with a master's degree from the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov", specialized in the Bulgarian Academy of Arts and Culture "Boris Hristov" in Rome (2008-2009) with the famous Mirela Paruto and Bruno Cali - President of the Roman Academy of Music "Santa Cecilia ”, as well as in the master classes of the world-famous soprano Renata Scoto at the same music institute. He made his debut in the same year (2003) with the role of Ferrando from Verdi's opera The Troubadour at the Burgas Opera and on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet in Sofia with the role of the Commander from Mozart's opera Don Juan. He recorded for the Bulgarian National Radio, took part in the festive concert at the Royal Academy in Brussels on the occasion of Bulgaria's accession to the European Union, toured (since 2006) on the stage of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Skopje in the operas "Nabucco", "Bohemia", "Lucia di". Lammermoor ”,“Rigoletto”, “Turandot”, “Masked Ball ”, “Don Juan ”and “The Barber of Seville”. In August 2008, he performed at the Bell Canto Festival in Montreal, Canada, with the world-famous soprano June Anderson, under the baton of the famous Kent Nagano. Since 2009 he has been a soloist at the Plovdiv State Opera, and since 2013 he has been a soloist at the Burgas State Opera.

The singer's repertoire also includes the roles of: Attila from Verdi's opera of the same name, Don Basilio from Rossini's The Barber of Seville, Don Juan, Leporello, the Commander and the Basement from Mozart's Don Juan, Tsar and Ramfis from Aida. King Philip II and the Grand Inquisitor of Don Carlos, Zacharias of Nabucco, Sparafuccile of Rigoletto, Banco of Macbeth, Fiesco of Verdi's Simone Bocanegra, Rudolfo of Somnambula, Oroveso of Norba of Bellini, Timur from Puccini's Turandot, Aleko and the Old Gypsy from Rachmaninoff's Aleko, and others. Like the bass parts of Mozart's and Verdi's Requiems, Rossini's Stabat Mater.
