Yoana Kadiyska Mezzo-soprano
Yoana Kadiyska, mezzo-soprano, began her musical career as a soloist of the Children's Radio Choir of the BNR, conducted by Academician Hristo Nedyalkov. There she was noticed by the great opera prima Alexandrina Milcheva, who became her vocal teacher.
He graduated from opera singing at the National Academy of Music "P. Vladigerov", in the class of Prof. Svilen Raichev, and in 2015 he received his master's degree with a specialty in classical singing. He is currently a doctoral student at the "Pancho Vladigerov" National Academy of Sciences.
In 2011, he won the 2nd prize at the 16th International Youth Music Festival-Competition, Dobrich-Albena, "Hope, Talents Masters". Two years later, in 2013, he won a scholarship from the "Boris Hristov" Foundation for Opera Studies at the National Academy "Santa Cecilia" - Rome, where he specialized with Senora Renata Scotto, vocal teacher Anna Vandi, and maestro Cesare Scarton. Her achievements include 2nd prize at the 24th National Competition for Young Instrumentalists and Singers "Svetoslav Obretenov"; audience award and award for the best interpretation of a Bulgarian musical work at the International Opera Singing Competition "Euterpa's Rose in Karlovo"; III prize at the Second International Competition for Opera Singers "Elena Nikolay"; 2nd prize at the X International Franz Schubert Competition and finalist at the International Vocal Competition, Zdar nad Sazavou, Czech Republic.
Over the years, she attended various master classes for vocal and stage skills and work on the interpretation of opera works with a number of prominent teachers and artists with international recognition, among them - Darina Takova, Anna Tomova - Sintova, Carlo Colombara, Fiorenza Cosoto, Bruna Balioni, Larisa Gergieva, and others.
In 2018, she became a scholarship holder of the Raina Kabaivanska fund and continued her studies in Modena, Italy.
He made his debut on the stage of the DMBC "St. Macedonian", with the role of Elena in the production "The Beautiful Elena" by Jacques Offenbach, directed by Mario Nikolov, conducted by Yuli Damyanov.
Ioana Kadiyska is the winner of the first prize of the First National Competition with international participation in the name of the great Bulgarian baritone of world fame Stoyan Popov, held from October 17 to 21, 2022, in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas.
