05 february 2021 "Evening of the German Song" at the Burgas Opera On February 9, Shmilena Sultanova, Branimir Nedkov and Daria Krasteva - on the piano will take the audience to the era of Romant
The second event of the creative calendar of the State Opera - Burgas in February is the chamber vocal concert "Evening of the German Song" - on February 9, from 19:00, in the hall of the Burgas Opera.
In the concert event, the soloists of the State Opera - Burgas - soprano Shmilena Sultanova, baritone Branimir Nedkov, and Daria Krasteva - on the piano, will present to the audience a selected selection of exciting vocal works by German composers. The concert will be marked by the refined sound of music from the Romantic era. In difficult times of trial, in which we live today, we increasingly need contact with the beauty and eternal messages of musical art, which brings aesthetic pleasure, enriches, excites, and purifies. And chamber music, in what musical format the concert dedicated to German vocal creativity will be presented, allows for a more intimate interaction between the performers and the audience, for aesthetic and emotional exchange and is a prerequisite for a more intimate experience in which shared feelings are a leading element.
When we talk about romanticism in music, the names of the composers Schubert /recently the cultural community celebrated 224 years since his birth/, Schumann, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Chopin appear in the minds of everyone who has anything to do with art and senses to perceive its universal messages. The class selection of "Evening of the German Song" includes: "Dedication", "I do not suffer" "In a foreign land", "Lotus" by Robert Schumann, "Song of the water", "Faster, Kronos", " The Mouse Hunter "," The Trout "by Franz Schubert," The Way of Love "," Eternal Love "by Johannes Brahms," Leave Me "by Hugo Wolf, transcriptions by Ferenc Liszt for piano of Schubert's songs" Margarita on a Wheel "and Serenade.
The lyrics of the songs, some of which are of the colossi in literature Goethe, Heine, etc., are translated by Desislava Todorova. The lyrical messages in Bulgarian will be read before each of the performances by the host of the concert evening Delyan Slavov - to give the audience a broader idea of the content of vocal works, being familiar with the literary source, combined with the musical text and artistic presence of the soloists and the pianist.
The Romanticism to which the forthcoming concert is dedicated is an intellectual movement in the field of art and culture - in general. It originated in Europe at the end of the 18th century. The belief in the power of reason and the rational, characteristic of the Enlightenment, gradually gave way through the "philosophy of the senses," which is the bearer of the charge of Romanticism and its influencing power on every sphere of public life.
Romanticism brings new thematic nuances and rich imagery to the music. The main points are the theme of loneliness, of wandering, of the conflict "human - reality", resolved as an escape - in the bosom of nature, in the realms of sleep or in the vast field of fantasy.
As in music, so it is in other arts, in the era of Romanticism lyrical works predominate, and the works bear the characteristic features of intimate confession and the sentiment of beautiful spiritual sharing. Carrying the stamp of Romanticism are the feelings, not the mind.
We wish our fans a pleasant aesthetic meeting with the aesthetics of Romanticism, as the message of the musical evening is to have a place for more romance in our daily lives…
