At the height of summer, the State Opera - Burgas has prepared for its loyal fans and guests of the city the third event of the program with chamber concerts in the "Flora" Exhibition Center, with a typical summer title - "Summertime" - on July 12 /Sunday/ from 20 :00 o'clock on the open stage in the sophisticated cultural complex in Primorski Park. An exquisite musical summer cocktail will be served by the soloists of the Burgas Cultural Institute - soprano Nona Krastnikova and baritone Valeri Turmanov, under the emotional piano accompaniment of Mira Iskarova - on Sunday evening. They will present a fascinating program with their artistic presence, personal charm, and unquestionable professionalism. The fluids of love, beautiful music, refined worldview and perception of reality, as well as touch with favorite melodies that have gained worldwide popularity, will be palpable on Sunday evening, near the sea. A shared sense of festivity will be guaranteed.
The author's project "Summertime" is subordinated to the respect of beautiful melodies and moving musical messages, to the wave of love feeling - reviving the senses in periods of trials, such as the one we all experience, and giving meaning to our earthly days. As a semantic-emotional connection between the musical performances, there are thematically selected announcements by the performers. "Summertime" concert performance is an emotional update of excerpts from famous musicals loved by all generations. The concert will feature works from famous musicals: "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein, "The Man of La Mancha" by Dale Wasserman, "The Wizard of Oz" by Harold Arlen/, as well as iconic works by George Gershwin - "Summertime", a duet of Porgy and Bess from the opera of the same name; famous and beloved songs performed by Frank Sinatra - "My Way" and others; "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley, "I want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You" by James Horner - the song from the hit movie title "The Mask of Zorro" and more.
The concert performance will alternate between nostalgic moods caused by the ubiquitous love pain, as well as rapture and an intoxicating feeling of shared happiness - states of mind that accompany the characteristic metamorphoses of love - fancied, denied, expected, desired, actual.
