For the ballet work:

The Nutcracker is the story of a little girl who receives a Christmas present from her godfather as a Christmas present. She still doesn't know that the wooden soldier, whose purpose is simply to break the hard shells of hazelnuts and walnuts, will incarnate in a fairytale prince, who will take her to the dancing snowflakes and fairies, to the most beautiful dolls and flowers, that he will fight the king of mice and marry her to become a fairytale princess.

Tchaikovsky's ballet was staged for the first time in the week before Christmas 1892 at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, but without much success. It took more than forty years to gain worldwide recognition - he was placed in England in 1934, ten years later he succeeded in San Francisco, USA, and after another ten - in New York, where he reached the top. of his glory. Since then, the ballet has been staged there every year at Christmas and this is an invariable tradition. The libretto of "The Nutcracker," is by the tandem Vsevolozhki - Petipa, which are the basis of Tchaikovsky's most successful works.

The staging of the Burgas Opera, also traditional for the Christmas holidays, is well known both on the stage in the seaside town and in the country. Before the corona crisis, the performance of Prof. Hikmet Hikmedov was a frequent guest of the theaters in Bulgaria at the end of December and always enjoyed great interest.
