30 october 2019 "Kiss me, Kate!" Conquered Gorna Oryahovitsa
After adventurous events along the long road from Burgas to Gorna Oryahovitsa, without rehearsal, but with expected success, the third in a row of "Kiss Me, Kate!", Staged by the State Opera - Burgas passed. Despite the difficulties of objective nature, the end result is important. And he was: a mood that infected the attendees, warming them with the spark of quality comedic art. The Chitalishte's hall, which, by the way, turned out to be suitable for this kind of large-scale musical, with directing techniques and configuration of the movements on the stage of the soloists, people, and ballets of the Opera Burgas, was delighted. "Kiss me, Kate!" was another certification for our artists - they were able to create comprehensive and impactful images, be charismatic, giving, flexible and adaptable. This is the fate of a true artist. The same is true of the orchestrators, under the baton of Maestro Tsanislav Petkov, who sat on the desks almost from the bus and managed to complete Cole Porter's not a light musical score with enough professionalism and mood. Last but not least, the dedication of the technical team who was in Gorna Oryahovitsa long before us to prepare the hall and the sound should be mentioned. The production is already picking up. And I look forward to her reaching her artistic apogee on November 19, on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theater in the capital. As I understand it from a close known MP, she has organized quite a few of her colleagues and bought tickets today for the spectacle in Sofia, most of the seats are already full. "Kiss me, Kate!" it deserves a warm reception on the capital's stage as well - because of the professional qualities it brings and distributes to the audience. Admiralations deserve the brilliant direction of Alexander Tekeliev (assistant directors of the musical are Peter Tiholov and Lina Peeva), the impressive stage design and costumes of Denis Ivanov, the choreography of Zhelka Tabakova!
Tonight, the stars of the Gorna Oryahovitsa stage were the soloists of the National Music Theater "Stefan Makedonski" Edelina Kaneva and Marcho Apostolov, as well as the Burgas opera artists: Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, Branimir Nedkov, Valentin Spasov, Diman Panchev, Miroslav Dimitrov, Jordan Hristozov, Milen Dinolov, Alexander Perperiev, Lyubomir Todorov, Valyu Totev and the artistic ensembles of the orchestra, choir, and ballet of the State Opera - Burgas.
