One of the most performed opera titles - Verdi's TRAVIATA will be the focus of the March program of the Burgas State Opera.
Under the baton of the famous maestro Slavil Dimitrov Slavil Dimitrov - guest, on the stage of the Burgas Opeta on March 17 at 19:00 comes the charismatic Ilina Mihaylova, soprano / guest / Ilina Mihaylova - in the role of Violeta Valeri. The soprano with numerous performances on our international stage is well known to the Burgas audience. Ilina Mihailova was a famous and unforgettable Rosina in the innovative production of the opera "The Barber of Seville" by Gioachino Rossini, directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, which premiered on October 8 at the Burgas Opera. She also sang at the third performance of "The Barber of Seville" in December, and days later the charming prima took part in the spectacular opera, Opera d'Amore in Sofia, when she once again took the stage with maestro Jose Carreras. Her versatile artistic role will be presented in a different aspect in the image of Violeta Valeri, torn by dramatic passions with a tragic tinge. To tell the eternal tragic story of the traps and fateful challenges of love, on Thursday, March 17, at 7 pm, great artists will appear on the stage of the Opera.
The role of Alfred Germont is played by another famous Bulgarian singer - the tenor Mihail Mihaylov - guest Mihail Mihaylov. The Burgas audience remembers his brilliant incarnation in the image of Rodolfo in the opera "Bohemia" by Giacomo Puccini - in October 2020 in the hall of the Burgas Opera.
Like Georges Germont, the baritone, who has extensive stage experience in different styles and temperaments, Alexander Krunev, will appear on the Burgas stage on March 17. At the last performance of "The Barber of Seville" he was in the role of Figaro, in partnership with Ilina Mihailova.
Ioana Kadiyska will be again in the image of Flora Bervois, a friend of Violeta Valeri, with whom she shone in the secular circles of Paris in the middle of the XIX century. The wonderful mezzo-soprano was Beautiful Elena on February 26 at the comic opera of the same name by Jacques Offenbach. The magnificent direction of "La Traviata" is by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev and combines original techniques and unconventional approaches to building images in the dramatic plot of the novel by Alexandre Dumas - son of "La Dame aux Camélias" / "The Lady with the Camellias" /. Attractive and containing an allegorical charge is the scenography of Catalin Arbore / Romania /, which uses mirror images - as a symbol of metamorphoses in the human soul and the unity of light and dark beginnings in the overall appearance of a person. Arbore is also the author of the beautiful stage costumes for the production of La Traviata.
The conductor of the choir, which is assigned an important role in the overall development of the plot action, is Nevena Mihaylova Nevena Mihaylova, the concertmaster is Hristo Belchev. The choreography is the work of Galina Kalcheva Galina Kalcheva, assistant director of the production is Lina Peeva Lina Peeva LINA PEEVA, prompter - Dora Fartunova Dora Fartunova, subtitles - Srebrina Slavova Srebrina Slavova.
The artistic ensemble of the orchestra, choir and ballet of the State Opera - Burgas take part in the attractive performance.
