27 april 2023 Alexander Krunev Celebrated hHs 60th Anniversary On the Stage
A waterfall of emotions, an amalgam of beautiful music, a festive mood flowing from the stage, undeniable professionalism, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere was the solemn concert ALEXANDER KRUNEV AND FRIENDS dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the great Bulgarian baritone.
An extremely precisely selected program realized on a grand scale, was presented tonight by the eminent guest soloists Stanislava Momekova and Ivaylo Dzhurov, as well as the wonderful soloists of the Burgas State Opera: Andreya Mirchev, Valery Georgiev, Daniel Damyanov, Yani Nikolov. and concept of the concert choir - with conductor Nevena Mihaylova. All the stage magnificence - under the baton of Deyan Pavlov. Maestro Pavlov, together with Alexander Krunev, who hosted the festive concert in his honor, was also a direct participant in the artistically presented announcements - with an intelligent sense of humor and attitude towards the audience, which became part of the atmosphere of the festive event.
In the exciting concert performance "Alexander Krunev and Friends" sounded: a "Prologue" from the opera "Pagliacci" by Ruggiero Leoncavallo, Manrico's Aria /performed by several "troubadours"/ from "The Troubadour" by Giuseppe Verdi, Aria of the doll Olympia" from "Hoffmann's Stories" by Jacques Offenbach - the maestro Deyan Pavlov himself participated in the artistic improvisation, symbolically "winding up" the "doll" - the beautiful Stanislava Momekova.
In the program in two parts /with an intermission between them/ the following were also performed: Aria of Don Basilio /"Aria of slander"/ from "The Barber of Seville" by Gioacchino Rossini - also performed in an ensemble by the artistic singers, Aria of Leporello from "Don Juan" by V. A. Mozart, "Drunken Song" by Tikhon Khrennikov, Alfonso's Aria from the opera "The Favorite" by Gaetano Donizetti, "Rondo of Mephistopheles" from the opera "Faust" by Charles Gounod - again presented by several singers, "Aria of Zachariah" from "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi, Duet of Attila and Ezio from the opera "Attila" by Verdi, Duet of Gilda and Rigoletto from the Verdi's opera "Rigolletto", as well as popular canzonets - "Granada", "Mamma", "Amapola" and others.
At the end of the festive program, three encores were performed - at the insistence of the emotional and responsive audience - "Oh, sole mio!" by Eduardo di Capua, "Funiculi funicula" and, of course, the iconic "Cheers" from "La Traviata" by Verdi - with a glass of champagne and a sparkling festive mood!
After the musical-artistic program, an official congratulatory address was read on behalf of Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas Municipality. A basket of flowers was presented on behalf of the mayor.
A colorful greeting was also presented on behalf of Assoc. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev Alexander Tekeliev, director of the State Opera - Burgas, as well as on behalf of the State Opera Stara Zagora - State Opera Stara Zagora.
Andrey Andreev, a colleague, and friend of Alexander Krunev, also presented flowers and a personal greeting.
Nine red roses - from each of her colleagues on stage, as well as from the conductor, and the only "flower" among the soloists - the coloratura soprano Stanislava Momekova, who is a native of Burgas and a soloist of the Sofia Opera, received.
The festive evening ended with a surprise for the main actor of the solemn event - multimedia with footage from the rich creative life of the famous Bulgarian baritone with a worldwide career, Alexander Krunev, a cake and, as tradition dictates, "To many summers" - performed by all participants in the concert.
