The penultimate event on the calendar of the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov", successfully realized for the fifteenth year in a row by the Burgas State Opera and the Municipality of Burgas, passed under the sign of the enchanting grace of ballet art.
The performance of the most romantic ballet Giselle by Adolf Adam, staged and directed by Galina Kalcheva, was a beautiful and exciting coda to the busy summer season for the ballet troupe of the Burgas Opera.
The production is presented for the fifth time - after the long-awaited and postponed premiere due to the pandemic - in April 2021.
Aneliya Dimitrova, the prima ballerina of the State Opera - Stara Zagora, made her magnificent debut on the Burgas stage in the role of Giselle. The enchanting prima, in whose movements the subtle pattern of her soul is woven, empathizes with the dramatic story of the gentle girl who protected love and the beloved even in non-existence.
In a beautiful stage symbiosis with the primate was Emil Iordanov Emil Iordanov, premier ballet dancer of the Sofia Opera and Ballet and Burgas Opera - in the role of Albert. The two attractive artists told through the trajectory of their bodies the exciting tale of the power of love, which is stronger than the world of shadows.
The young ballerina Emona Georgieva made a wonderful debut in the role of Mirta, the leader of the vilis, who did not hide her excitement before the performance and managed to harness it in an exciting stage charge - in the successful stage incarnation of the role she expected and desired.
Ted Tsakov, the soloist of the ballet troupe, Teodor Tsakov, was stable and inspired - in the image of Hans, unrequitedly in love with Giselle and losing his life because of the dance with the inexorable vilis - spirits not maidens who lure the boys into the forest and force them to dance until deathly exhaustion.

The aristocratic Aneliya Ivanova played the role of Bathilda - Albert's noble fiancee, Svetlan Nikolov played the role of the Duke, Bertha - Giselle's mother - Sofia Lovdzhieva Sofia Lovdzhieva-Svetlozarova, Wilfred, close to Albert - Stefan Tipikov Stefan Tipikov.
Technical, attractive, artistic, filled with a joyful charge were Natalie Ivanova Natalie Ivanova and Kiril Filipov in the Pa de deux in the first act.

The audience was numerous and emotionally responsive - both during the performance and at its end, when they applauded the wonderful ballerinas on their feet for a long time.
At the end of the ballet celebration, the traditional basket of flowers was presented on behalf of the mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov.
