Today, Wednesday, July 14, at 8.30 pm on the stage of the Summer Theater - Burgas, the ballet classics "Giselle" will present the new reading of the beautiful love story - directed and directed by Galina Kalcheva, who is also a tutor of the ballet troupe of the State Opera - Burgas. The long-awaited premiere of "Giselle" to the music of Adolf Adam, considered one of the most romantic ballet works, was an event for fans of fine ballet on April 24 this year at the Burgas Opera Hall. The performance was re-presented with success only 20 days after the premiere - again in the Opera Hall. "Giselle" has completely new decor and costumes, impressive with a romantic scope, attention to detail, typical of the era and the messages of the work. The ballet performance, which will delight fans of fine arts on Wednesday, is in the calendar of the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov", successfully realized for the 14th consecutive year by the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Burgas.

The libretto of the ballet in two acts "Giselle" is by Theophile Gauthier and Vernois de Saint Georges, the choreography - by Jean Coralie, Jules Perrault and Marius Petipa / edited by Leonid Lavrovsky /. The set designer is the famous Bulgarian master set designer Ivan Tokadjiev, Anna-Maria Tokadjieva is an artist of exquisite costumes, the assistant director of the production is Petar Tiholov, tutor of the ballet ensemble - Teodor Tsakov.

The character of the gentle innocent girl Giselle, who has a tragic fate, but through the power of her love manages to save her beloved, even from the world of shadows, will build the young soloist of the ballet troupe Polina Ivanova. For her, this is a debut role. In the premiere performance she was in the image of the queen of the jeep Mirta, and in the roles of Giselle and Albert were Ivanina Ivanova and Emil Yordanov. In tomorrow's performance, as Albert - a prince disguised as an ordinary country boy, the soloist of the ballet troupe Daniel Tichkov / debut / appears on the stage of the Summer Theater. In the image of Mirta, the leader of the Willis will make her debut Yana Berduta, also a soloist of the ballet ensemble of the Burgas Opera. According to Slavic legends, the villi are fairy creatures - spirits of girls who left earthly life before settling down. The young incorruptible creatures did not find peace in the grave, because during their lifetime they did not satisfy their desire to dance. So they come out of their graves at night, gather in groups along the main roads, and wait for passers-by, dragging them into constant dancing until they fall dead from exhaustion. In the role of the forester Hans, hopelessly in love with Giselle, but the beautiful girl, alas, to share his feelings, will be Kiril Filipov. Soloists and an ensemble of the ballet ensemble of the State Opera - Burgas, each of them - an integral part of the overall extravaganza of the romantic work, also take part in the large-scale premiere performance. The role of Bathilda is played by Galina Kalcheva, as the Duke of Burgas will be seen by Svetlan Nikolov, Berta will be Sofia Lovdzhieva, Wilfred - Stefan Tipikov. The attractive Pa de Deux in the first act will be presented by Eleonora Miteva and Teodor Tsakov. Also participating in the production are: Daniela Turtumanova, Anelia Ivanova, Natalie Ivanova, Iva Ovcharova, Sabina Koseva, Raya Chakarova. The ballet extravaganza is attended by students from NUMSI "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ”- Burgas and Kapka Children's Ballet Theater and dancers from the Strandzha Folklore Ensemble.

It was created by the exceptional masters Jules Perrot, Jacques Coralli, and later - Marius Petipa / as well as various editions, the most successful of which is by Leonid Lavrovsky /.
