25 august 2021 Baroque Concert "Journey In Time" On Saturday At "Florata"
The first of a series of concert events that present the most characteristic historical time, transformed into the art of music, is "Time Travel" - on August 28 at 20.30 in the garden of the Exhibition Center "Flora" - Burgas. The event is part of the summer music program of the Burgas Opera "Flora Party - the last of the season. The other three concerts of the program at the Expo Center "Flora" - "Music Of The Night", with works from famous American musicals, "Favorite Russian Romances" and "Toast" passed with great success and a large audience. The premiere of the concert "Time Travel" was on May 16 this year in the Opera Hall and the general feedback was that it is a sophisticated interpretation of Baroque music, which, presented in a professional and inspiring way, can be not only exciting but also thought-provoking and spiritual catharsis. In May, Mira Iskarova was at the piano.
On Saturday / August 28 / the two opera singers - Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, Nona Krasnikova and the pianist Iliana Todorova tell about the intriguing project:
"The audience will be translated through different eras and genres of classical music as part of a series of concerts" Time Travel ". On August 28 we will move to the XVII and XVIII centuries, Baroque, after the Renaissance - French (baroque), Italian (Barocco), means an irregular pearl or a fake gem. Splendor, overcrowding, the noisy abundance of details, but also melodies that touch the senses, stories about empresses and kings, affairs and intrigues, depicted in music by Handel, Rameau, Vivaldi, Purcell. Two sopranos, piano, duets, and arias (less), in which you will recognize famous motifs from favorite movies. This sound magic will be accompanied by a walk through the Louvre, the Hermitage, Petra, and the Pyramids, in the form of multimedia. The vision of the project is taken care of by the artist Diana Avelova - a young artist who studies fine arts and costume not anywhere, but at the Academy of Performing Arts in Paris.
The choreography of the concert performance is by Patricia Soares. She is from Lisbon, Portugal, she studied classical dance in Lisbon and Madrid. She has worked as a ballerina at the State Opera - Stara Zagora, and since 2019 she has been working at the State Opera - Burgas. Her repertoire includes: "Don Quixote", "Swan Lake", "Giselle", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Hazelnut Crusher" and others. Only music has the power to take us for a second, wherever we want, come with us on a journey in the Baroque era, we will find a lot of beauty!
"This concert takes us to the Baroque era, walking us through the most beautiful corners of music of this style - dreaminess, and fairytale, woven into a polyphonic alloy, complemented by magical multimedia and dance - that's what you can participate in," adds the aesthetic. vision for the concert soprano Nona Krastnikova.
"After I finished the French language class at PGRE" G. S. Rakovski ”- Burgas, I went to pursue my dreams as a designer in Paris. There I study Applied Arts and Fashion Design at the Atelier de Sévres University of the Arts. I have been studying drawing, ballet, piano, and theater since I was a child, and music has always gone hand in hand with me. That's how I discovered Opera - the perfect symbiosis between several arts. My creative process is strongly influenced by music and its history. Behind every tone can be hope, pain, passion ... I have a special attitude to baroque music. It inspires me with its rich ornamentation and striving for perfection ", shares Diana Avelova, artist of the project" Time Travel ".
On Saturday night, August 28, those present at the concert performance "Time Travel" at the Expo Center "Flora" will feel like chosen - will have the chance to experience a different concert in which the Baroque style in art was presented syncretically - through music, dance and visual presentation of architectural and artistic masterpieces in the form of multimedia. And each of the elements is filigree - to the brilliance and detailed elegance typical of the era.
In the refined open space of the Expo Center "Flora" will sound beautiful melodies that not only bring incomparable sensory and aesthetic pleasure but also seem to open a portal in time-space, where Perfection is so close. Stories with a taste of legends about palace affairs, queens, valiant knights, united by the incomparable finesse and class of the Baroque era, will be told by the two soprano voices of Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova and Nona Krasnikova, which combine brilliantly - both as timbres and as emotional cohesion. The musical elegance will be sculpted under the exquisite piano accompaniment - with remarkable tonal extraction and beautifully constructed dynamics by Iliana Todorova. The less frequently performed, but extremely purifying and bearing the strange beauty of frozen lava music by Handel, Rameau, Vivaldi, Purcell, will be masterfully incorporated into an exquisite multimedia visualization of the Louvre, the Hermitage, Petra, the Egyptian pyramids, and other masterpieces born of genius.
The wonderful, subtle and unobtrusive stage presence of the choreographer of "Time Travel" - Patricia Soares, who is an artist from the ballet troupe at the Burgas Opera, will be skillful, with an understanding of the music and aesthetic messages of the baroque.
The chamber event promises to be polyphonic and multidimensional, with aspirations being beautiful - from all angles of sensory perception.
