The Opera Room last night was under the common denominator of emotion - the Gypsy Baron performance filled the audience with different nuances of mood - from curiosity to tracing the entangled story, to the wavering anticipation of the outcome, to the burst of joy experienced by each of the stage characters, in the light of the best of ourselves, slightly idealized, compared to today's realities, but so necessary in the present day - to remind us that there is good, light, justice, even only in fairy-tale realities ... At least for us n mites to try to look at ourselves and bring out the better part of us on the surface of our nature and behavior.
Everything was in the show yesterday - mysteries, hidden treasures, fortune tellers, prophecies, fires, passion, dynamics, gypsy dancing, temperamental chardash, exquisite Viennese waltz, love, doubt, unexpected revelations, tumultuous plot development, and happiness!
The audience appreciated the beautiful set design and costumes, as well as the stunning direction in which each detail was in place, in harmony with the overall conceptual concept.
The conductor of the operetta in three acts by music by Johann Strauss-son, by the libretto of Ignac Schnitzer / written by the novelty "Safi" by Mor Yokoi /, is Tsanislav Petkov. Directed by Mario Nikolov, who also played the role of Sandor Barinkay. The set design is the work of Ivan Tokadjiev, conductor of people - Nevena Mihaylova, the dances are of Galina Kalcheva, concertmaster - Yordan Kovachev, assistant directors - Lina Peeva and Peter Tiholov.
On the stage of the Burgas Opera the exciting images, telling the wonderful story of love, respect for gender and traditions, as well as the most important treasure - what lies in the human heart, were presented by Valentina Korchakova, soloist of the National Musical Theater - in the role of Safi, Mario Nikolov, whose work is the production - Barinkay, Gypsy fortune teller Chipra - Shmilena Sultanova, as Kaloman Zhupan was Jordan Christozor, his daughter Arsena - Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, successful debut role as Count Homonay of Diman Panchev, Karnero -Tiholov, Mirabela - Lina Peeva, Yani Nikolov also made a successful debut in the role of Otocar. TIn the whole amalgam of passions, emotions, colors, dynamic twists and exciting storyline involved the orchestra, choir, and ballet of the State Opera - Burgas.
As always, Burgas Municipality expressed its attitude and respect for musical art - at the end of the successful performance, a basket of flowers was presented on behalf of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
