28 july 2021 The Best Of "Kiss Me, Kate!" Was Presented In Balchik

Highlights / selected moments / from the musical "Kiss Me, Kate!" / "Kiss me, Kate!" in music by Cole Porter, directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, assistant directors - Lina Peeva and Peter Tiholov, costumes - Denis Ivanov, were presented on Tuesday night / July 27 /, as part of the festival "Days of Classics" in Balchik.
Behind the conductor's desk was maestro Tsanislav Petkov, concertmaster - Yordan Kovachev. s
Soloists: Edelina Kaneva, Marcho Apostolov, Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, Branimir Nedkov, Delyan Slavov, Lina Peeva, Diman Panchev, Miroslav Dimitrov, Yordan Hristozov, vocalists Vanina Dimitrova, Vessela Apostolova, Kalina Popova and Stefka Hristozova, as well as Petar Tihoho Perperiev, recreated the main of the plotline and the most characteristic musical-scenic moments of the musical, adapted for a chamber version, without the splendor of ballet and people. But it contains the most important moments that follow the two lines in the story, following the logic of the "theater within theater" technique.
The atmosphere of "Kiss me, Kate!" Was created, albeit in the limited space of the open stage "The Mill" in Balchik. The artists coped with the challenge - to present the essence of the plot and to adapt their movements, positioned in the space in front of the orchestra and between the audience itself. There was dynamics, mood, great music of the orchestra and professional-sounding artists - despite the unusual stage and the adapted version of the show.
All this, as a collective perception, was appreciated by the audience, which sent the conductor, artists and musicians to their feet.
The evening in Balchik was hot - both in temperature and mood.
