31 january 2025 A Brilliant Start Of The Year With The Symphony Concert

The first event for 2025, after the annual performance of the Burgas State Opera, was the SYMPHONIC CONCERT under the baton of the doyen of the Bulgarian cultural space Yordan Dafov, whose presence behind the podium is a certification for a musical event of the highest rank - of quality of performance, in-depth philosophical interpretation of the works, exceptional precision, finesse, and class.
The full hall tonight proved once again that the concerts under his conducting are expected and appreciated, leaving a lasting resonance in the emotional memory.
The Burgas Opera Orchestra with concertmaster Vanya Zlatev was at the height of the best examples of symphonic mastery this evening. The young soloist - violinist Victor Trenev, made those present go through the entire spectrum of experiencing feelings - from exceptionally crafted passages in quiet dynamics, with brilliant phrasing, beautiful singing tone, and emotional depth, to the bravura fragments which, together with the orchestra, they managed to recreate the true Beethovenian spirit - of aspiration, internal contradictions and struggles, failures, and rising again - to unsuspected heights of the achievements of the creative nature. Both the musicians of the orchestral composition and those present in the Opera hall, both specialists and laymen, were captivated not only by Viktor Trenev's virtuoso performance, but also by his authentic intelligent presence, absorption, and radiance of a young man completely devoted to the recreated messages embedded in the work, dedicated to the mystery of classical musical art, which is timeless. Admirations!
The concert was honored with the traditional basket of flowers by the Mayor of Burgas Municipality - Mr. Dimitar Nikolov.
The program of the almost two-hour concert tonight included: "A Little Night Music" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, KV 525 with parts: Allegro, Romanze: Andante, Menuetto,
Rondo: Allegro; Symphony No. 5 in B flat major by Franz Schubert D. 485, with parts: Allegro, Andante con moto, Allegro molto, Allegro vivace; Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major, Opus 61 by Ludwig van Beethoven with parts: Allegro ma non-troppo, Larghetto, Rondo: Allegro.
The talented young violinist Viktor Trenev performed an encore - after the unceasing applause from the intelligent audience, presenting himself with a virtuoso etude in which he displayed the wide spectrum of his musical abilities.
