The third event from the program of the 2023/2024 Season of the State Opera - Burgas is the concert performance "Latino Pulse" - on October 13, Friday, at 7 p.m. on the stage of the Opera House. The attractive musical-scenic project is another aesthetic challenge of the conductor Svilen Simeonov, well known to the audience from a number of performances of the Burgas Opera. The premiere of "Latino Pulse" took place at the end of September 2020 and was an expected success in a full hall /with a permissible capacity of 50% for the pandemic period/. In the summer of 2021, the project was presented to about 300 people who could hardly fit on the open stage on the island of St. Anastasia, and the concert ended with four encores, which were the best attestation of its success. The last concert was during the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov" 2023 on the stage of the Summer Theater, when, despite the cool weather in June, the numerous enthusiastic audience did not miss experiencing unforgettable moments with the rich musical and stage program, which also ended with several encores.

Regardless of the fact that the date of the concert is Friday the 13th, the success of the musical-stage manifestation is beyond doubt, and the cute coincidence could even be taken as a challenge.

"Latino pulse" is the next big project of maestro Simeonov - an undisputed favorite of the audience, who appreciate his artistic stage behavior, characterized by full emotional commitment to the process of creating a unique atmosphere, professionalism, and an intelligent sense of humor. The maestro is known for his incomparable casual way of communicating with the audience – conveying the mood, messages, warmth, temperament and sensual charge of musical scores. In August of this year, another of his projects - "Symphony Melody Rock", performed by the orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas, the soloist Ralitsa Petkova and the Jazz formation "Sofia", was presented with indisputable success in the full summer theaters of Burgas and Varna.

The concert performance "Latino Pulse", under the masterful baton of Svilen Simeonov, creates complex sensations from the sensual combination of Latin music, the swirling charge of southern rhythms, skilfully combined with the accents of violin solos, performed by the soloist Ralitsa Petkova - exquisite, delicate, sensitive, charming and, of course, gifted with talent.

On October 13, the Burgas Opera will perform Svilen Simeonov's arrangements of popular and beloved Latin rhythms, adapted for symphony orchestra, flamenco ballet, and electric violin. Latin music weaves in itself the southern temperament, combined with the unique taste for the beautiful and the truly important in life. She is the bearer of a specific perception of the world and a burst of emotions. On stage on Friday, as a colorful addition to the music, will be the original dynamic choreography by Marina Zmeeva-Markova - performed by the ballet ensemble of the State Opera - Burgas. Through the language of the bodies - as symbols and messages, they will bring completeness to the overall picture of the "Latino Pulse" concert program, which will be like a real storm of emotions.

As always, maestro Svilen Simeonov, author of both the arrangements and the script, will be able to convey to the audience the charge of the musical text, reflected in his conducting skills and the mastery of the Burgas Opera orchestra. The concertmaster of the orchestra on Friday will be Hristo Belchev. Violinist Ralitsa Petkova will perform the solo parts on acoustic and electric violin. She is well known to the Burgas audience - she has participated in other projects with the orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas, also under the baton of Svilen Simeonov.

In "Latino Pulse" will sound the passionate rhythms of the essence of Latin music: bossa nova, samba, habanera, Brasileira, rumba, milonga, cha-cha-cha, hota, farandola, Aragon, similia. Under the motto of Jacques Cocteau: "Flamenco artists neither sing nor play." They spew fire and put it out with their feet.", the violinist Ralitsa Petkova, the orchestra, and ballet dancers, under the baton of Svilen Simeonov, will create a real emotional-visual feast for the senses on the stage of the Opera House, which will certainly result in a remarkable combination of sensuality, explosive dynamics of emotions, fiery rhythmicity and a sensory-grabbing rainbow of colors, tones, and movements - in the tonality of passion, in the concert performance "Latino Pulse".
