19 may 2023 Delightful Soloists, Conductor, Chorus&Orchestra at the Gala
Delightful conductor, soloists, and choir at the OPERA GALA tonight in the hall of the Burgas State Opera, worthy of the great world stages!
The first warm evening of May brought a warm festive wave to the Opera hall with the nearly two-hour gala.
Similar music-stage formats hide risks and pitfalls - precisely because of the heterogeneous components in the program, the different soloists, each - with a characteristic temperament and role.
But on this memorable Friday night, under the unifying baton of maestro Slavil Dimitrov, the constellation of first-rate soloists, each with their own individuality, creating a homogeneous whole.
And it was palpable - on all levels of perception, as a natural combination of beautiful musical expression, brilliant scores, bright stage presence, remarkable synchronicity with the orchestra - with concertmaster Vanya Zlateva, and the choir - with conductor Nevena Mihaylova.
Focused on their stage mission, distinguished by sophistication and elegant vision, a professional approach to recreating and conveying the musical-artistic messages to the numerous and emotionally responsive audience, were all the soloists tonight - outstanding and impeccable - in their overall performance.
Maestro Slavil Dimitrov once again proved his class and his unifying role in the creation and development of a large-scale music-scenic project of a similar rank.
Many foreigners were also present in the audience. And a retort overheard by visitors to the city, who were apparently attending an event at the Burgas Opera House for the first time, was: "Such soloists, hall, such level, and atmosphere are worthy of La Scala!"
The colorful greetings to the co-creators of the exciting musical celebration - from the Mayor of Burgas Municipality and DIANA Flower Boutique, were on stage during the entire opera gala - a colorful addition to the multi-spectral mood of this evening, in the range of authentic excitement from so far with the great art.
The skillfully selected and balanced program included: Overture from the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet, Michaela's Aria from the same opera, performed by the soprano Joana Zhelezcheva;

A majestic finale of the two-hour musical splendor was the emblematic "Te Deum" from the end of Act I of the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini, performed by Alexander Krunev, with the orchestra and choir of the State Opera - Burgas.
