Tonight the exquisite courtyard of the Exhibition Center Flora Burgas gathered at the traditional cocktail party on the occasion of May 24 - Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavic Literature, Burgas artists present the annual awards of the Municipality of Burgas for excellence in art and culture.
The nomination of the Burgas State Opera this year was for Diman Panchev Diman, bass, longtime soloist of the Burgas Opera.
The award, plaque, and diploma were presented by the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, who has always shown his special attitude toward artists and cultural figures.

The soloist of the Burgas Opera has in his repertoire a number of bass roles, as well as numerous successful stage performances - both at home and abroad. In the complex creative process,
characteristic of syncretic opera, Diman Panchev has permanently invested constructive creative energy and professional attitude in the process of building each role - to achieve a high artistic level of the cultural institute in our city. His rich timbre voice is known to opera audiences from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to Illinois, USA. He is one of the winners of the first prize at the International Singing Competition "Callosa del Saria" in Alicante, Spain. Diman Panchev was in the roles of Filippo from "Don Carlos", Zakaria from "Nabucco", Banko from "Macbeth", Ferrando from "Troubadour", Sparafucchile from "Rigoletto", Tom in "Ball with Masks", and participated in a number of children's performances, etc.
This year's award of the Municipality of Burgas is presented mainly for the role of Diman Panchev as Don Basilio in the new production of "The Barber of Seville", directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev Alexander Tekeliev, which premiered in late 2021 and was greeted enthusiastically by the audience. Diman Panchev invests in every stage incarnation not only indisputable talent but also individual handwriting, as well as his characteristic artistic zeal and devotion.
