20 april 2024 Exciting Last Concert "The Soloists of the State Opera-Burgas"

The twentieth day of April was typically in the style of the changeable spring - with blossoming chestnut trees in front of the Opera House, heavy rain and beautiful music in the lobby of the Burgas Cultural Institute in the last event of the STATE OPERA SOLOISTS – BURGAS series. Compensating for the natural cold, those present in the vestibule of the Burgas State Opera certainly felt warmth, clothed in music, a warming attitude from the three soloists: the soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, the tenor Andrei Mirchev and the baritone Valeri Turmanov Valeri Turmanov, the two class pianists - Daria Krasteva Eola Max and Sergei Sultanov Sergei Sultanov, as well as the violinist Nataliya Sultanova Natalya Sultanova / for the two musicians - the Sultanov family, who have recently been part of the Burgas Opera, today's concert was the first solo stage performance - successful and memorable, in a good way We wish them well in the future!
In her typical style, the host of the concert program was Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, who opened and unfolded symbolically - with a subtle approach, gentle timbral nuances of her voice, and an extremely warm attitude towards the audience and her colleagues, the pages of sheet music that came to life through voice, piano, and violin.
The non-standard program of the concert was selected with flair, intelligent approach, tangible love for the performed works, and the intention and message invested in them.
“Hyuga. Ikigai. Saudade. Duende. Four different words that have a magical meaning. In this fast-paced, noisy, and digitized world, I wish we could look inside ourselves and hear the silence. Hyuga is a Danish word and means "the art of creating comfort and making you happy". Ikigai Japanese word composed of two - Iki-life, and Gai-value. According to Japanese culture, everyone carries their ikigai, but they can reach it if they work on their inner balance and develop their skills as a creators. The joy of waking up and the smile with which you do so. Saudade – a Portuguese word that brings together all the states, encounters, and emotions that have excited us, awakened our senses, and made us feel alive! Duende - a Spanish word meaning "to have a soul", that spark that some individuals carry and make them Creators.
It may be strange, but I will try to put these magic words in the music of composers who are not from Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Japan. I will try to show you that you can feel Hyuga when you listen to Reinaldo Hann. Or to be together in one "Saudade" through Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, and Tchaikovsky. "Ikigai" - with Richard Strauss and "Duende" - with Florov and Dvořák.", so sweetly began the concert Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, completely in her style - sophisticated, profound, slightly nostalgic, beautiful, soulful, imbued with sensitivity beyond the visible, touching, lyrical, philosophical and romantic - all at the same time...
At the end of the program, which lasted about an hour and a half, Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova thanked those present, among whom there were many colleagues - singers and musicians, for the shared emotion.
All three soloists of the Burgas Opera: Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, Andreya Mirchev, and Valeri Turmanov, were completely in sync with the concept of the concert and performed at the height that befits performers of the highest class.
The two pianists - Daria Krasteva and Sergey Sultanov, were extremely focused and at the same time - unfolded emotionally, with brilliant technique and beautiful tone extraction, and completely impressed the three soloists. The singing tone of the violin, performed by Natalia Sultanova, was a suitable complement to the nostalgic messages of the performed works.
Admirations for everyone - it turned out to be a high-quality concert program, properly appreciated by those present in the lobby of the Burgas Opera House!
