24 may 2020 Exciting holiday concert for May 24 of the Burgas soloists

The first performance of the soloists of the State Opera - Burgas, from the beginning of the state of emergency, coincided with the brightest national holiday - May 24, Day of Bulgarian education and culture and Slavic writing.
Exactly at 12 o'clock on the holiday the sopranos Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, Nona Krasnikova, the mezzo-soprano Joana Kadiyska, the tenor Yani Nikolov, the baritones Valeri Turmanov and Yordan Hristozov, the bassists Diman Panchev and Kostadin Mechkov opened the concert with the anthem of the Bulgarian education "Go, people! , based on verses by Stoyan Mihaylovski and music by Panayot Pipkov, which is a symbol of the most Bulgarian holiday. The program included popular works by Bizet, Lehar, Augustine Lara, Mozart, Rossini. As an exciting code of the concert, the soloists of the State Opera - Burgas performed "You are beautiful, my forest", based on verses by the Revival poet Lyuben Karavelov and music by Georgi Goranov - an exciting emotional ending to the festive program.
The concert was attended by the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, Deputy Mayor Diana Savateva, Vessela Yordanova, Director of the Directorate "Culture and Public Relations" of the Municipality of Burgas, Petar Parushev, Head of the "Culture" Department of the Municipality, Veselin Prenerov, Chairman of the Committee on Culture at the local parliament, municipal officials, municipal councilors, public figures, journalists from national and local media.
Atanas Sirekov Square in front of the Municipality was announced for the first time in months, with classical music, charging with an incomparable feeling of uplifting spirit, class, sophistication, festivity. The people, who, despite the high spirits, still tried to observe the necessary distance and rules, welcomed the concert very positively. This will be a good starting point for them to return to the normal rhythm of life.
