05 february 2021 Exciting Performance Of The Orchestra Of The Burgas Opera The event was honored by Deputy Mayor Diana Savateva and the Chairman of the Municipal Council Prof. Sevdalina Turmanova
- On the evening of February 4, the Opera Hall marked the stage return of the orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas, conducted by Tsanislav Petkov - after the interruption of live events due to the measures and subsequent annual leave of the artistic groups of the Burgas cultural institution.
Despite the lowered tone, due to the long-term stress for all of us, despite the still unclear prospects, despite the uncertainty, the audience in the hall proved that the thirst for art and the need for its life-giving power is invariable, even in times of trial. Thanks to our loyal fans, who respected the work of the orchestra and the conductor, who yesterday gave the audience a breath of calm, beauty, aesthetics, and hope for better times for all of us.
Admiration for the instrumentalists from the orchestra of the Burgas Opera and their leader in the musical evening, which turned into a holiday - Tsanislav Petkov! Apart from the professionalism behind the desk and the knowledge of the works, recreating the most characteristic of their mood and messages, the conductor distinguished himself with his refined styling, in sync with all orchestrators, who are responsible not only for their musical works but also to the overall aesthetic vision of the stage, even with the obligatory protective masks.
In a well-balanced concert program sounded: "Concerto Grosso" in D major, opus 6, No. 4 by Archangel Corelli, "Divertimento" in D major, KV. 136 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky, opus 35a by Anton Arensky, and Symphony No. 7 by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdi.
Flower baskets were presented on behalf of the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov and Prof. Sevdalina Turmanova, Chairwoman of the Municipal Council - Burgas, who honored the event, together with Deputy Mayor Diana Savateva.
