12 april 2023 Exclusive Easter Concert On Holy Wednesday
On Holy Wednesday in the hall of the Burgas State Opera, the symbolism of the Holy Week acquired a completely emotional and meaningful complement with the EASTER CONCERT.
Under the baton of the outstanding master behind the conductor's desk, able to master the score - both in scale and in detail - maestro Yordan Dafov, an ideal altar of humility in the days of reflection was created. A subtle space was created for artistic ecstasy, intellectual empathy, and reflection - for the awareness, the rearrangement of values, the search for meaning in the truly valuable things, the self-rebirth, and the resurrection of the spirit - immanently embedded in God's providence.
The works chosen for the festive concert were completely synchronous with his conceptual framework - Franz Schubert's "Unfinished Symphony" and the incomparable "Requiem" in D minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - a genius who left the earthly dimension at only 35 years old, but left in the universal annals that inlay of the Eternal and the Inimitable - as an emanation of God in the human essence.
An exceptional charge this evening was achieved, felt, and experienced - by the wonderful soloists - Nona Krastnikova - soprano, Ioana Kadiyska - mezzo-soprano, Andreya Mirchev - tenor, and Kostadin Mechkov - bass; from the precisely balanced and homogenous-sounding choir composition - with conductor Nevena Mihaylova, and the magnificent orchestra - with concertmaster Vanya Zlateva, which merged with the overall sound and suggestion of the festive concert.
Not only numerous but also intelligently united with the universal spirit and universal messages, was the audience in the Opera House tonight, which testified its unqualified approval with a long-standing ovation.
During the entire holiday concert, the traditional floral greeting - a basket of flowers - was on stage on behalf of the Mayor of Burgas Municipality - Mr. Dimitar Nikolov.
Sincere congratulations to all the performers - more than 100, who created the exciting musical celebration, the bearer of bright wishes for calm and harmonious Christmas days, peacemaking, kind and philanthropic thoughts, transformed into good earthly deeds, and balanced relationships based on timeless Christian values.
And the stylish stage layout and lighting were in sync with the festive atmosphere in the Opera hall.
We wish bright holidays and blessings to all fans of classical music, which is the most direct way to Divine harmony!
