In the middle of the summer, the State Opera - Burgas has prepared for its loyal fans and guests of the city the second concert of the program "Party on the Island" 2021, entitled "Love American Way" - on July 10 / Saturday / from 21 hours on the open stage on the island of St. Anastasia. The concert performance was presented with great success on Valentine's Day and wine - February 14, this year, in the hall of the Burgas Opera. On the picturesque island coast, under the stars of the Burgas Bay, with their artistic presence, personal charm and undeniable professionalism will be presented: mezzo-soprano Joanna Kadiyska, baritone Valeri Turmanov, and pianist Mira Iskarova. The fluids of love, beautiful music, refined worldview and perception of reality, as well as the touch with favorite melodies, which have gained worldwide popularity, will be felt on Saturday night on the Island. The shared feeling of festivity will be guaranteed.
The author's project "Love in the American way" by Joanna Kadiyska, Valeri Turmanov, and Mira Iskarova is subject to respect for the beautiful melodies and exciting musical messages, subordinated to the feeling of love - reviving the senses in times of trial, like the one we all experience meaning of our earthly days. As a semantic-emotional connection between the musical performances is thematically similar lyrics. The concert performance "Love in the American" is an emotionally updated meeting of excerpts from famous musicals loved by all generations / "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein "The Man from La Mancha" Wasserman, "The Wizard of Oz" by Harold Arlen /, as well as iconic works by George Gershwin, famous and beloved songs performed by Frank Sinatra - "New York, New York", "My Way", "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley, "When I Fall In Love" by Victor Young, "I Want To Spend My Life Loving You" by James Horner, "Piano Variations on a Theme by Porgy and Bess" by Gershwin and others.
The concert performance will alternate between nostalgic moods caused by the ubiquitous love pain, as well as enthusiasm and intoxicating feeling of shared happiness - states of mind, which accompany the characteristic metamorphoses of love - dreamed, denied, awaited, desired, present.

Joanna Kadiyska, mezzo-soprano, began her musical career as a soloist of the Children's Radio Choir at the Bulgarian National Radio, with conductor Acad. Hristo Nedyalkov. There she was noticed by the great opera prima Alexandrina Milcheva, who became her vocal pedagogue.
Graduated in opera singing at the National Music Academy "P. Vladigerov ”, in the class of Prof. Svilen Raichev and in 2015 received his master's degree in classical singing. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music.
In 2011 he won the second prize at the XVI International Youth Music Festival-Competition, Dobrich-Albena, "Hopes, Talent Masters". Two years later, in 2013, he won a scholarship from the Boris Hristov Foundation to the Opera Studio at the Santa Cecilia National Academy in Rome, where he specialized with Senor Renata Scoto, vocal pedagogue Anna Wendy and maestro Cesare Scarton. Among her achievements are II prize of the XXIV National Competition for Young Instrumentalists and Singers "Svetoslav Obretenov"; an audience award and an award for the best interpretation of a Bulgarian musical work at the International Opera Singing Competition "The Rose of Evterpa in Karlovo"; III prize at the Second International Competition for Opera Singers "Elena Nikolai"; Second prize at the 10th Franz Schubert International Competition and finalist at the International Vocal Competition, Zdar nad Sazavou, Czech Republic.
Over the years he has attended various master classes for vocal and stage skills and work on the interpretation of operas by a number of prominent pedagogues and artists with international recognition, including - Darina Takova, Anna Tomova - Sintova, Carlo Colombara, Fiorenza Kosoto, Bruna Balioni, Larisa Gergieva, and others.
In 2018 he became a scholarship holder of the Raina Kabaivanska Foundation and continued his studies in Modena, Italy.
He made his debut on the stage of DMBC "St. Makedonski ”, with the role of Elena in the production“ The Beautiful Elena ”by Jacques Offenbach, directed by Mario Nikolov, under the direction of Yuli Damyanov.
Valeri Turmanov, baritone:
After graduating from the NMA "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ”- Sofia, continues his education with a specialization in classical singing and acting at the“ Accademia Teatro Alla Scala ”in Italy. He made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Martino in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro. Holly's role in "L'taliana il Algeri" follows, again by Rossini. He has participated in festivals in the cities of Como and Martina Franca, Italy, toured at the Teatro dell Opera, Rome, and Theater Erfurt in Erfurt, Germany, and visited Tokyo, Japan with the Teatro Alla Scala. Valeri Turmanov is the winner of the First Prize of the International Competition for Performance of German and Austrian Music "Magic" and the Second Prize of the XXth National Competition for Singers and Instrumentalists - Provadia. He won a scholarship "Gallery of Young Bulgarian Talents" in 2008. He specializes in the master classes of Mirela Freni, Luciana Serra, Renato Bruzon, and Luigi Alva in Milan, Italy, as well as in the third academic master class of Anna Tomova-Sintova in Sofia.
Mira Iskarova, piano
Mira Iskarova is a Bulgarian pianist and composer. She was born in Burgas, where she graduated from the Music School in the piano classes of Julia Nenova and Radka Chomakova, and later the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ”, Sofia in the piano class of Prof. Marina Kapatsinskaya.
As a performer, he gives solo concerts within local and international festivals, including "European Music Festival", Sofia; "International Music Festival" - Hamburg, "Young People in Art" - Moscow, Amsterdam, and others. He has won a number of awards from competitions in Bulgaria and around the world. As a pianist, her repertoire covers music from the Baroque period to the present day. Mira Iskarova is an author of film and theater music, works with directors Georgi Dyulgerov, Ogi Kostovski, Slava Doycheva, Delyan Iliev, and others. Creator and host of a podcast show where he invites "strange birds" to talk about their favorite music. She starred as an actress in the films "You are beautiful, my dear", "Glory", "Marriage" and others. He is a lecturer at the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ".
