13 september 2019 Kiss Me, Kate - the Premiere To Be Talked About For a Long Time
The memorable super-emotional premiere of the musical "Kiss Me, Kate" officially closed the Musical Feasts "Emil Chakarov" on the stage of the Burgas Summer Theater on September 4, 2009. Despite the coolness of the autumn-reminiscent autumn, the audience had enough occasion to be flushed - with a mood overflowing from the stage - like a warm spark that would continue to warm and accumulate aesthetic delight in its purest form. The soldering between music, artistry, bright presence, original set design, intelligent decisions with the play of lights, half-shadows, reflections, refracting images and taking out in an angle of unexpected perspective what was carefully guarded and almost invisible ...
And the audience was having fun - for real! The spontaneous and well-deserved applause was for the entire cast, without exception - the stars of the National Music Theater "Stefan Makedonski" Edelina Kaneva and Marcho Apostolov, as well as Maria Tzvetkova-Madjarova, Branimir Nedkov, Delyan Slavov, Lina Peeva, Yordan Hristov, Diman Panchev, Diman Panchev Peter Tiholov, Milen Dinolov, Lyubomir Todorov, Alexander Perperiev, Valyu Totev, as well as the artistic compositions of an orchestra, choir, and ballet, created a Broadway atmosphere on a Burgas stage that could be summed up with a sincere "WOW"! Admiralty for the brave, but at the same time - in harmony with the parameters of the classic musical, with its inherent energy charge, the directorial decisions of Alexander Tekeliev. The role of assistant directors Lina Peeva and Peter Tiholov, the set designer and the designer of the amazing costumes Denis Ivanov, the choreographer Zhelka Tabakova and the conductor of the choir Nevena Mihaylova were also in sync with the completed style appearance of the performance. And, of course, the young energetic maestro Tsanislav Petkov, who managed to ignite in the orchestrators the spark of the pleasure of playing a classic, fresh, charging, evocative musical thought and emotion! Just acting as a fun twist on stage and immersed in the atmosphere of a universal emotional and aesthetic cause reached by opera and ballet artists as well as musicians, one could simply exclaim - thank you! For the original reference to Shakespeare's spirit, modernized through the means of the American musical. And for the complex feeling. And the "weasel" was tamed, of course, because that's the logic of life and relationships. And Shakespeare's plot, though "theater in theater," was respected - like messages and intellectual teaser.
It was a great premiere!
We wish a crosswind of the spectacle in the emotional sea of meetings with an understanding and grateful audience!
