The choreography and direction of the new title in the repertoire of the Burgas Cultural Institute are by Galina Kalcheva. "Bad Girl" contains many original elements and an approach that combines classic techniques with innovative ideas. "Bad Girl" is a colorful show about love! The ballet title, full of cheerful and casual situations, comic moments, and challenges to the performers, is one of the oldest European ballets that have survived to this day. I would be happy for the new production to be part of the rich repertoire of the State Opera - Burgas!", says Galina Kalcheva about the new production. The tutor of the ballet ensemble is Marina Zmeeva-Markova, and the assistant director of the production is Petar Tiholov. The scenographer of the new title is the acclaimed professional in the field Ivan Tokadzhiev. "The process of creating the scenography for a new production is difficult, connected with a lot of nerves. When the audience enters the hall, no one will ask: "Was it difficult for you?" – the audience must gasp!” he said before the premiere. And yes, that happened at the premiere performance. The atmosphere of a French rural idyll was authentically created - with style, taste, finesse, and attention to every detail - with the handwriting of a skilled craftsman. And there are sure indicators that the new title in the ballet repertoire promises to be a hit. The superbly constructed costumes, which add an additional catchy element to the humorous plot, are in aesthetic-sense harmony with the style of the scenography. They are the work of Jana Dvoretska, an artist with her own vision for a modern aesthetic based on the best of the classical canons. "The Bad Girl" is a funny and beautiful story about love. I wanted the costumes to have a more "French" feel, so I used different patterns as well as pastel shades of blue, pink, and purple. The ballet costume is extremely challenging in terms of technology, but working on this production was above all a pleasure, thanks to the talent and professionalism of the team in the sewing studio of the Burgas Opera.", Yana told about the creative process of creating the costumes for "Badly Protected Girl" Dvoretska, costume designer. Galina Kalcheva's direction is refined - like exquisite French lace, in which every link is in its place, sculpting the overall appearance. The visual effects are also impressive, recreating a storm in the field – with remarkable credibility and impact on all levels of perception. And the soloists and artists of the ensemble fit seamlessly into the overall picture of a French rural idyll, which brings unadulterated joy - simple, natural, with a breath of hay and a taste of the sweetness of life. The loving couple Lisa and Kolen on the Burgas stage on Saturday will recreate Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova, soloist of the ballet troupe, who was flawless at the premiere performance, and Masaki Takada /guest/, premier-soloist of the ballet of the State Opera - Ruse. Premier ballet dancer Daniel Tichkov, who was in a brilliant stage tandem with Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova at the premiere, suffered an injury a few days ago and is prevented from dancing at the upcoming performance. The comedy-parody character of Mama Simone will again be presented by Teodor Tsakov, who created the image of the premiere with a whirlwind and a fresh sense of humor. And although the widow Mama Simon plans to marry her beautiful daughter to the rich man's son Nikez, who will be played by Kiril Filipov in his debut at the show on April 29, love prevails over guild principles and the lovers celebrate. Svetlan Nikolov once again plays the role of Thomas, Nikez's father. And Mama Simone, whose stern heart is softened by the tender feelings of the young, receives her fateful bonus – the heart of Thomas, father of the unfortunate Nikez. And at the end of the French fairy tale, there are not one, but two weddings. And minuet, gavotte, and barrel merge into a single dance of love...
