On Saturday, February 8, at 11 a.m. in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas, the youngest friends of musical and stage art, accompanied by their parents or relatives, who also loved one of the most popular children's fairy tales - "Little Red Riding Hood", will once again prepare for exciting experiences with the enchanting spectacle with stunning visual elements based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault.
The wonderful production of Maria Tabakova, who is also the director of another successful children's ballet spectacle - "Thumbelina", charges those present not only with mood and optimism, but an unobtrusively presented lesson has been prepared especially for the children's audience, which is essential for building a children's worldview.
With visible pleasure, the ballet artists present their entertaining roles, in which they put talent, combined with stage experience and attitude towards the audience, which could not be deceived - the children's.
Assistant directors of the production are Lina Peeva and Petar Tiholov, the designer of the beautiful costumes, revealing the most characteristic of each of the characters, is Natali Markova, the multimedia, transporting into the fairy-tale world - through the means of modern technologies, is the work of Krasimir Marchev. The entire team of specialists from the technical services has prepared a spectacle at the highest level of visual perception. The sets of "Little Red Riding Hood" are extremely attractive - in the form of 3D mapping, the costumes and props have modernized elements and bring pleasant playful surprises. The musical design of the ballet production includes fragments of works by Gershwin, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Khachaturian and children's animated films. All who are directly or indirectly involved in the adventure are charged with mood and creative energy and are preparing for a long stage life of the latest children's production of the Burgas Opera.
The familiar fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, the Granny, the Hunter is told in an innovative way and contains the obligatory lesson for every fairy tale. The plot of the premiere ballet performance has intertwined humorous elements, combined with the dynamics of the action and alternating beautiful musical motifs, guaranteeing excitement and aesthetic pleasure.
The roles on Saturday will be: Little Red Riding Hood - Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova, Wolf - Daniel Tichkov, Hunter - Kiril Filipov, Mother - Elena Georgieva, Granny - Maria Gabarova, Storyteller - Yordan Hristozov. The performance also features artists from the ballet ensemble of the State Opera - Burgas.

“The difference in this ballet performance is that there is a narrator “Charles Perrot” - he will be played by Yordan Hristozov. The storyline is kept to the original of the fairy tale. There are many humorous moments in this ballet, which I hope will entertain the little viewer. I have tried to add a light educational character to the production. So that every child can learn a lesson – “Good must always win”, says Maria Tabakova about the production. The team I work with is very adaptable to new things.
