11 august 2021 Mariana Popova Presents Her New Album "Truth" On Saturday
The concert entitled "Truth", bearing symbolism and messages has gathered the best of the songwriting performed by Mariana Popova in the last five years. The pop diva will present for the first time in Burgas her new album - on Saturday, August 14, at 8.30 pm on the stage of the Summer Theater in the Sea Garden. The album includes about 15 vocal works accompanied by a solo violin - both unreleased and popular songs of one of the most beloved Bulgarian singers. The idea of the concert performance is of the violinist Chavdar Valkov, whose solo performances, accompanied by a symphony orchestra, give the songs a taste of class and a high sample of emotional impact. The event is in the program of the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov", realized for another year by the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Burgas.
"Truth" is the representative part of Mariana Popova's third album. The beautiful, romantic, emotional songs are combined with some of the world's most beloved classical works, performed in a magical way by the orchestra, under the baton of Dimitar Kosev. He recently won the Young Musician of the Year award in the poll of the BNR's Allegro Vivace program and is the youngest principal conductor in Bulgaria. The modern thinking of the young maestro, who is only 28 years old, achieves a remarkable effect in his conducting and makes the audience witness a real musical event.
As Mariana Popova, herself shares: "If there is truth in music, it is certainly with a symphony orchestra!" In an interview with Trud newspaper, the famous singer talks about the new project: "The surprise at this concert is the concert itself, this is a big event for me. My huge dream was to sing with a symphony orchestra, and the idea for the concert came from the violinist Chavdar Valkov, but he waited his time and now it is a fact. The conductor will be the incredible and extremely talented Mitko Kosev. At the concert, I will perform both new and familiar songs, as well as two cover versions - of ABBA and Adele, which are very dear to me and I love them terribly. Apart from August 14, we will do a concert on September 20 in the Congress Center Varna, and on September 28 in Dobrich. I hope that everything will be fine and we will continue, and in the spring we will make the big ten - some 10 cities because at the moment there is no way. The concert will be very emotional and beautiful, as we will go through all the periods and moments of my career. It will be something like closing an emotional ballad period and opening a new page in my work with a pop-rock album. My new album contains 10 songs and is produced by Igor Markovski, and everyone who attends the concerts will be able to get it. "
