04 august 2022 Morricone's Music Sounds in Tsarevo
Tonight /August 4th/ on the open stage above the seashore in Tsarevo was another exciting concert from the summer program of the State Opera - Burgas. Under the baton of Maestro Levon Manukyan Conductor, who is also the author of the orchestrations of the famous musical themes from the world of cinema, composed by the emblematic author of film music Ennio Morricone, the soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova and the orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas, with concertmaster Hristo Belchev, created a wonderful mood - against the background of the beautiful August sunset over the Tsarev Sea, to the accompaniment of the surf.
The successful premiere of the concert performance "Morricone - the cinema in notes" took place on the stage of the Summer Theater in Burgas in June, within the framework of the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov". Concerts followed, performed in front of a large audience, in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa and on the island of Saint Anastasia. The new musical-scenic project was created based on the idea and script of Julia Manukian. Intriguing introductions to each of the musical themes, combined with film footage, led the audience into the world of film score legend Morricone.
Under the open sky, on the seaside stage in the beautiful city of the Southern Black Sea coast, popular musical themes from the films sounded:
Once Upon a Time in America, The Mission, The Hateful Eight, Cinema Paradiso, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Sicilian Clan, The Professional, Octopus, Malena, The Mission, "Al Capone" and others.
Familiar moments from works of the Seventh Art alternated on the video screen.
Attendees watched exciting footage from favorite movies with Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Robert De Niro, Jean Gabin, Romy Schneider, Clint Eastwood, Claudia Cardinale, Michele Placido, Monica Bellucci, etc...
The international audience in the resort town demanded and deserved an encore and sent the wonderful soloist, inspiring conductor, and wonderful musicians on their feet.
