14 may 2021 Opera Burgas Invites To "Time Travel" On Sunday

The first of a series of concert events, which present the most characteristic historical time, transformed into the art of music, as well as acquaintance with the main directions of philosophy and cultural canons for the respective era, is "Time Travel" - on May 16, from 19:00, in the hall of the Burgas Opera.
The two opera singers - Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, Nona Krastnikova, the pianist Mira Iskarova and Diana Avelova, project artist, share their impatience to present moments of contact with the baroque art to the Burgas audience, as well as to the guests of the city, in today's contradictory, difficult, but also interesting times:
The audience will be translated through different epochs and genres of classical music as part of a series of concerts "Journey through Time". First, on May 16 we will move to the XVII and XVIII centuries, Baroque, after the Renaissance - French (baroque), Italian (Barocco), means an irregular pearl or a fake gem. Splendor, clutter, the noisy abundance of details, but also melodies that touch the senses, stories about empresses and kings, affairs and intrigues, depicted in music by Handel, Rameau, Vivaldi, Purcell. Two sopranos, piano, duets, and arias (less), in which you will recognize famous motifs from favorite movies. This sound magic will be accompanied by a walk through the Louvre, the Hermitage, Petra, and the Pyramids, in the form of multimedia. The vision of the project is taken care of by the artist Diana Avelova - a young artist who studies fine arts and costume not anywhere, but at the Academy of Performing Arts in Paris.
The choreography of the concert performance is by Patricia Soares. She is from Lisbon, Portugal, she studied classical dance in Lisbon and Madrid. She has worked as a ballerina at the State Opera - Stara Zagora, and since 2019 she has been working at the State Opera - Burgas. Her repertoire includes: "Don Quixote", "Swan Lake", "Giselle", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Hazelnut Crusher" and others. Only music has the power to take us for a second, wherever we want, come with us on a journey in the Baroque era, we will discover a lot of beauty! ”, Says the soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova about the attractive project.
"This concert takes us back to the Baroque era, walking us through the most beautiful corners of this style of music - dreaminess and fairytale woven into a polyphonic alloy, complemented by magical multimedia and dance - that's what you can participate in", says about the aesthetic vision of the concert the soprano Nona Krastnikova.
"The meeting with this music project is especially personal for me. I don't know if we will be able to take a closer look at Baroque music, but I hope that we and the audience of the Burgas Opera will be lucky enough, to be honest enough in it. I think that on May 16 we will meet with a very emotional and honest interpretation of some of the most impressive baroque arias and duets. With sincere excitement I invite the fans of opera, and not only them - to this special concert ", raises the emotional level before the concert pianist Mira Iskarova, with whom Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova and Nona Krastnikova already have a solid number of joint chamber performances. Mira Iskarova is known among film and theater circles as a composer of music for a number of successful theater productions and film titles.
"After I finished the French language class at PGRE" G. S. Rakovski ”- Burgas, I went to pursue my dreams as a designer in Paris. There I studied Applied Arts and Fashion Design at the Atelier de Sévres University of the Arts. I have been studying drawing, ballet, piano, and theater since I was a child, and music has always gone hand in hand with me. That's how I discovered Opera - the perfect symbiosis between several arts. My creative process is strongly influenced by music and its history. Behind every tone can be hope, pain, passion ... I have a special attitude to Baroque music. It inspires me with its rich ornamentation and striving for perfection ", shares Diana Avelova, artist of the project" Time Travel ".
