29 november 2024 Professionalism&Stage Brilliance With "Love, Champagne&Can-Can"

Friday evening passed under the sign of a sparkling mood—like a 19th-century Viennese ball—with beautiful, cheerful music, talented performers, sparkling champagne, and a unique festive atmosphere—with the operetta gala LOVE, CHAMPAGNE AND in the hall of the Burgas State Opera.
Under the precise, but also extremely temperamental baton of maestro Deyan Pavlov, the soloists: Liudmila Mihailova, Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, Nona Krastnikova, Shmilena Sultanova, Yordan Tsvetanov Hristozov, Delyan Slavoff, and Diman Panchev, the musicians of the orchestra - with concertmaster Hristo Belchev, the artists of the choir and ballet ensemble of the Burgas Opera - with conductor Alexander Chepanov and choreographer Marina Zmeeva-Markova, as well as those present in the Opera hall, experienced a true musical celebration.
Something elusive hovering in the hall was also tangible and difficult to describe in words: the pleasure of performing popular works that have long been benchmarked in the genre.
Stylish, beautiful, united by the whirlwind rhythm with a life-affirming sound were all the performers.
Today, in addition to celebrating art, one of the soloists, Nona Krastnikova, is also celebrating her personal holiday—her birthday. Maestro Deyan Pavlov congratulated the birthday girl and announced each of the soloists' performances—witty and with a tease to the audience.
The rich and well-balanced program includes:
"Trich - trach" polka by Johann Strauss, Judith's Aria from the opera of the same name by Franz Lehár; Duet of Bonnie and Stasi - "Human Life" - from "The Csárdás Queen" by Imre Kálmán - Duet of Silva and Edwin "Do you remember" from "The Csárdás Queen" by Kálmán; "Pizzicato" polka - Strauss; Duet of Hanna and Danilo "Lippen schweigen" from the operetta "The Merry Widow"; Song by Eliza Doolittle "I would play in the night.." - from the musical "My Fair Lady"; Silva's aria from "The Czardas Queen" by Kalman "The Women, the Women...." from "The Czardas Queen" by Kalman; Rosalind's Czardas from the operetta "The Bat" by Strauss-son; Hanna Glavari "Please, gentlemen...." - from "The Merry Widow" by Lehár; "Thunder and Lightning" - Strauss; Maritza's aria from "Countess Maritza" by Kalman; Hanna Glavari's aria - "Villa...." from "The Merry Widow" by Lehár; Can-can from "Orpheus in Hell" by Offenbach; "Oh, Mother Mother" from "The Czardas Queen" by Kalman; A toast from the second act of "The Bat" by Johann Strauss-son and others, the famous canzonet "O, sole mio" - performed by today's birthday girl - Nona Krastnikova, and Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova.
At the end of the emotional musical and artistic evening, traditional baskets of flowers were presented on behalf of Prof. Maria Neykova, Regional Governor of Burgas Region, and Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas Municipality.
The next event of the State Opera - Burgas /on the Burgas stage, as there are also performances on tour/ is THE GYPSY BARON - on December 7 at 7 pm in the Opera Hall, in the main role the Burgas audience will again see a large part of the soloists who participated in today's operetta gala: sopranos Nona Krastnikova, Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova and Shmilena Sultanova, baritone Yordan Hristozov, bass Diman Panchev, as well as: tenor Yani Nikolov. mezzo-soprano Lina Peeva, bass Petar Tiholov and Milen Dinolov, tenor.
