29 april 2023 A Great Second Premiere Of "LA FILLE MAL GARDEE"

The festive performance of the comic ballet LA FILLE MAL GARDÉE, dedicated to the World Dance Day - April 29, for the second time - after the premiere on April 7, filled the hall of the Burgas State Opera with the inimitable atmosphere of contact with art from the most high sample - one that gives meaning, stimulates and ennobles. And the sincere laughter generated by the whirlwind plot, intertwined with a series of comic situations, combined with beautiful music and graceful movements, is the surest way to escape from reality and accumulate energy - until the next contact with art...
Tonight, the Burgas audience had the chance to experience the excitement caused by the mastery of superb soloists, a wonderfully assembled ensemble and vital messages - at the second premiere of "The Badly Guarded Girl".
The production settles down, gains momentum and is enriched with new overtones, giving a richer and more comprehensive look to the spectacular ballet.
Admirations for all artists who were on the wave of French finesse, immediate joy of life's gifts, pure feelings, not subject to external interference and material incentives!
On the Day of the Dance, all ballet dancers celebrated - with a smile, talent recreated in graceful movements, in a fresh wink to the audience - as a message to seek more immediate joy - in workday, holiday, in thoughts and relationships.
Sparkling with brilliance - as a technical performance and stage presence, and overflowing with an infectious creative charge were Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova - as Lisa, and the guest soloist Masaki Takada, premier ballet dancer of the State Opera - Rousse.
Teodor Tsakov - in the ultra-comic role of the strict widow Mama Simone, was once again in his prime. Kiril Filipov made a strong debut as Lisa's clumsy prospective groom, who loses the battle for her heart. Svetlan Nikolov - as Thomas, Nikez's father, was completely in sync with the general uplifted mood and high level of professional performance.
Ivan Tokadzhiev's wonderful scenography and Yana Dvoretska's masterfully constructed and precisely crafted costumes completed the experience, which can be summed up as "WOW!"
Bravi - for the artists, the director - Galina Kalcheva, the tutor - Marina Zmeeva, assistant director, technical services - all the "behind the scenes" specialists, you created a real holiday - on the holiday!
There is good news for those who missed the two premiere performances of the newest ballet in the repertoire of the Burgas Opera - the production, which is already becoming a hit title, will be presented on June 13 on the stage of the Summer Theater - Burgas as part of the Burgas musical holidays "Emil Chakarov".
At the end of the magnificent performance, baskets of flowers were presented, as befits a holiday - on behalf of the Mayor of Burgas Municipality - Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, and by Associate Professor Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, Director of the State Opera - Burgas.
