14 february 2020 The Four Twins And Don Juan On The Burgas Stage Again

It will be rich in music events on February 17 this year. State Opera - Burgas has prepared two performances that will be played this day - for the children's audience, which is also addressed with due attention and attitude, and for fans of the masterpiece of V.A. Mozart - "Don Juan".

From 1.30 pm on February 17, Monday, the performance, suitable for small and large, "The Four Twins" - a musical comedy by Georgi Kostov, on the libretto of Pancho Panchev, will be presented in the hall of the Burgas Opera House. A funny story about four twin brothers from the pretty village of Bliznakovo who like the pretty Bonka /performed by the charming Vesela Apostolova / - a nice girl who has to choose a groom from the four Levents, gives an opportunity to touch the stage magic in which the artists present a better world where pure feelings and heart choices are paramount to a meaningful and fulfilling life. Vesela Apostolova also reincarnates in the role of Boncho /in fact, this is her, destined as a boy - to fulfill a secret mission - to find out which of the brothers has real feelings for her/.

The funny story, in the style of "Bulgarians of old-time", alternates comic situations with the four twins - the same in appearance, but different in nature and understanding of life - Belcho, Pustro, Cherno, and Zhelcho - played brilliantly, with fresh artistry, from Branimir Nedkov. The role of Stina Gena is Kalina Popova - who creates an image with an eagerness for the era and a lot of humor. The austere but overbearing chorbadzhi Petko is Petr Tiholov. The grandmother, a stranger who travels around the world and tells fairy tales, performed by Rositsa Videva, leads the thread of a wonderful fairy tale that ends with a merry wedding. And the young ones - Bonka and the twin with a good heart and honest thoughts - took on the love they love, despite the betting that ordered the bridegroom to be the one who brought the heaviest gold bracelet from the five-year-old gurbet. Gold, it turns out, is powerless in the face of the power of true feelings. Well, at least that's the case in fairy tales, which is difficult, but not impossible to translate into real life ...

The conductor of the musical comedy The Four Twins is Yordan Dafov, production is by Alexander Tekeliev, directed by Darina Glavanakova-Bakardzhieva, assistant directors are Lina Peeva and Peter Tiholov, the set design is by Ivan Tokadjiev, costume designer is Anna, - by Galina Kalcheva, Concertmaster - Yordan Kovachev. The ballet staff of the State Opera - Burgas also takes part in the production.

From 7 pm, also at the Opera Hall, the aesthetic challenge of "eternal music" awaits you - Mozart's two-act masterpiece "Don Juan", one of the world's most performed operas.          A strong soloist cast - again, will perform in dramatic roles on Monday night: baritone Valeri Turmanov will play the role of the irresistible sorcerer with submissive actions that serve his uncontrollable passions. In the image of the servant of the proverbial seducer Don Juan - Leporello, bass Delyan Slavov will be reincarnated. Like Donna Anna, whose father is killed by Don Juan, the brilliant soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova will sing on the Burgas stage. Donna Elvira - Don Juan's former favorite, will be another noteworthy soprano from Burgas Opera - Nona Krustnikova. In the role of Don Otavio will be the tenor Nikolai Motsov - guest. The image of the beautiful Zerlina will build the young mezzo-soprano, with a beautiful and rich timbre - Joanna Kadiyska. Debut in the role of Mazetto makes young talented baritone Branimir Nedkov. In the character image of the Commander, we will see bass Diman Panchev - for him the role is also debut.

The two-act opera Don Juan is one of the pinnacles of the work of the brilliant Mozart and combines elements and suggestions of dramatic and comic opera. "Don Juan" features dynamic stage action, exquisite musical themes, arias, duets and ensembles, the built images are vivid and memorable.

The production is performed by the choir and orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas.

During last year's Don Juan staging - April 12, 2019, the audience was in for an exciting moment - baritone Valerie Turmanov proposed marrying the lovely Joanna Kadiyska, kneeling on stage during the act. This landmark moment remains in the archives of Burgas Opera as one of the most exciting and evocative responses - due to the combination of the beauty of the art and the effect of true feelings.
