The penultimate concert performance of the series THE SOLISTS OF THE STATE OPERA - BURGAS - in the late forenoon of March 23 provided those present in the sophisticated lobby of the Burgas State Opera with an exciting experience of high artistic value.
The famous opera singers Joana Zhelezcheva and Daniel Damyanov, who are certificate of the highest quality of the presented stage production for each scene, filled the space of the lobby of the Opera House with their lovely voices, which sounded like a beautiful prayer for more beauty and aesthetics in our daily lives, presenting an excellently selected set of more popular and less known arias and duets from the operatic oeuvre, but united under the sign of the undisputed professionalism of the performance. Beautifully controlled heights, a caressing melodic line, accents in the dynamics and meaningful context of the arias and duets, as well as a stylish stage presence befitting their high class, were distinctive features in the performances of the soprano Yoana Zhelezcheva and the tenor Daniel Damyanov.
On the piano was the pianist Igor Kyryanov, who performed excellently at a previous concert of the "Soloists of the State Opera - Burgas" series, together with Nona Krastnikova and Maryan Yovanoski. Today, he once again wonderfully balances the sonority of the grand piano and the musical text of the piano score with the magnificent singing of the two distinguished singers. A beautiful singing tone, magnificent technique, masterful tenors, and rich sonority, under the vocal performances, presented by the young pianist.
The program of the concert included: Duet of Cho-cho-san and Pinkerton from the opera "Madame Butterfly" by Giacomo Puccini, "Ombra mai fu" from the opera "Xerxes" by Georg Friedrich Handel, Liu's aria from the third act of the opera "Turandot " by Giacomo Puccini, "Or che piu nonvedro" – Aria of Jason from the opera "Medea" by Luigi Cherubini, Aria of Adriana Lecouvreur from the first act of the opera of the same name by Francesco Chilea, "Oi, ty, tyomnaya dubravushka" – Aria of Sadko from the opera of the same name by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Tosca's Aria from the second act of the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini, from the opera "Medea" by Luigi Cherubini, "Non tamo piu!" by Paolo Tosti, Manon's Aria from the second act of the opera "Manon Lescaut" by Giacomo Puccini, Duet of Aida and Radames - from the fourth act of the opera "Aida" by Giuseppe Verdi.
The last, eighth, concert of the "Soloists of the State Opera - Burgas" series will be on April 20 at 11 a.m. in the lobby of the Opera, it will be performed by: Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova - soprano, Andreya Mirchev - tenor, and Valeri Turmanov - baritone. On the piano will be: Daria Krasteva and Iliana Todorova.
