State Opera - Burgas has prepared an exciting Symphony Concert for fans of classical music - on May 18 at 19:00 in the Opera Hall, under the baton of Jordan Dafov. The famous maestro conducted with great success the traditional Easter concert at the end of April this year, when there were over 150 performers - soloists, orchestra, choir, and young singers from the Children's Choir "Milka Stoeva" with conductor Svetla Stoeva. An overture from the opera "Abu Hassan" by Carl Maria von Weber will be performed in the rich and balanced program of the concert on Wednesday. In the history of Western European musical culture, Weber's name is associated primarily with the creation of romantic German opera. The second work, which will be performed on May 18, will be Divertimento in D major by the genius representative of Viennese classicism, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the hall of the Burgas Opera will also sound Hungarian Pastoral Fantasy, opus 26, by the Austro-Hungarian flutist and composer Franz Doppler, with parts: Molto andante, Andantino moderato, and Allegro; parts of Suite №2 in B minor for flute and orchestra by the great German composer of the pre-classical era Johann Sebastian Bach and "Meditation from the opera Thais" by the French composer, known for his lyrical operas, created in the second half of XIX and early XX century - Jules Massenet. The soloist of the concert on Wednesday will be the flutist with a world career, known for his virtuosity and in-depth interpretation of the works performed - Prof. Georgi Spasov.
