"With Johann Strauss's beautiful music, saturated with lightness and frivolity, and with its comic plot, "One Night in Venice "ranks among the most striking works in the world of operetta classics.

In my production version, I have envisioned a clear narrative, action dynamics and full disclosure of artistic images.

As a basic point, I brought up the problem of manipulation at all levels, serving the interest of each character. I have strived to achieve complete clarity to reveal the motives of each of the characters in the individual passages and as a whole. In the mass scenes, I sought plasticity through acting, dance, and vision, contributing to a more complete and complex stage suggestion.

I would like to point out the extremely good collaboration with the production team: conductor Ivan Kozhuharov, set designer Ivan Tokadzhiev, costume designer Anna Tokadzhieva, choreographer Galina Kalcheva (with whom I work for the first time).

As a director, I have tried to create a multifaceted performance that meets the genre requirements of contemporary ensemble music theater and the time we live in, combined with my idea and aesthetics and the dramaturgy and epoch embedded in the work of the author.

I would be happy if fans of our art appreciated the work of the whole team and this new production of "One Night in Venice" enjoys a long life as a repertoire title on the Bourgas Opera billboard."
