03 november 2025 "Swan Lake" Delighted the Large Audience at the Opera House

The evening of November 3rd in the hall of the Burgas State Opera was under the common denominator of the messages of fine art and the high class of the performers, with the wonderful spectacle of the ballet classic SWAN LAKE -
staged and directed by Prof. Hikmet Mehmedov, with assistant director Vesa Tonova.

On the stage of the Burgas Opera, the prima ballerina of the Sofia National Opera and Ballet, Boryana Petrova, and Emil Iordanov, premier ballet dancer of the Sofia Opera and Ballet and the Burgas State Opera, once again showed their undisputed mastery, embodied in undeniable talent and stage charm.

Alongside the characters of the White and Black Swans /Odette and Odile/, which prima ballerina Boryana Petrova presented in an admirable manner - both in the gentle white nuances of the White Swan and in the dark passion of the Black Swan, the image of Prince Siegfried was also bright and emotionally gripping, presented with personal charisma and technical perfection by premier ballet dancer Emil Yordanov.
With a strong stage charge and exceptional dynamics of the performance on stage was Shun Kawafune - in the characteristic role of the Jester.
A convincing image of the evil magician Rothbart, who has marked Odette and the other enchanted maidens of the lake, was created by the soloist of the ballet troupe of the State Opera - Burgas Teodor Tsakov.
The role of the Queen, Siegfried's mother, was performed by the aristocratic Aneliya Ivanova, and in the image of the court, Wolfgang Bozhidar Kmetov.
The delightful performance also featured: Little Swans – Kalina Nedelcheva, Raphaela-Maria Kühl Raphaela Kühl, Nanako Sato, Giulia Lezzi; Big Swans – Laia Ramon, Ilina Konstantinova, Gergana Kozarova, Raya Chakarova, Raya Stanislavova.
In the temperamental Spanish dance, the audience at the Opera House had the pleasure of seeing: Raya Chakarova and Haru Nakagawa, in the Neapolitan dance – Ilina Konstantinova and Kiril Filipov, in the Hungarian dance – Kalina Nedelcheva, Julia Letzi, Patrick Gik, and Stoqn Fartunov.
As the exquisite Brides on stage came: Laia Ramon, Polina Pasha, Rafaela-Maria Kühl, and Gergana Kozarova.
The artists from the corps de ballet of the State Opera – Burgas also took a memorable part in the large-scale ballet performance, who built the common scenes with remarkable finesse and synchrony.
All inspired artists told, through the delightful artistic means of the exquisite ballet art, captivating the senses and emotions, a tale of love, beyond the control of time and circumstances.
At the end of the emotional performance of the "ballet of ballets" - with a numerous and violently reacting audience, baskets of flowers were presented on behalf of Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas Municipality.
