04 april 2022 More Than 100 Pterformers At Pahita§Carmina Burana Оn Thursday

On the stage of the State Opera - Burgas on Thursday, April 7, from 19:00 will be presented two wonderful works - majestically sounding and impressive with the power of its impact on the senses and mind stage cantata "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff and Variations from The third act of the ballet "Pahita" by Ludwig Minkus.
Carmina Burana is one of the most famous and performed works in the world's musical treasury. The leitmotif of the stage cantata is a philosophical interpretation of the difficult transition from youth to adulthood. The work is inspired by the original text of "Carmina Burana" - a group of itinerant preachers who came to the conclusion that the world is not governed by the moral principles that were taught to them. Then they create a circle of people who follow the rules of virtue and dive fully and with passion into a life subservient to hedonism - the pursuit of pleasure and existence through it. The plot develops ideas born from the imagination of these young people. The Gothic myth is recreated on the iconic music of Carl Orff. The theme of Evil and the symbolism associated with its impact on human souls is developed in the storyline, which presents a society corroded by sin, without fear of retribution from above. The points are wine, women, entertainment, revelry, and the search for new and new stimuli that provoke the senses. The irony and parody of the clichés are characteristic of the plot of the cantata. Carmina Burana is a syncretic work in which music, dance, and impressive scenography merge into a single whole. The 25 songs in the cantata are by unknown authors - troubadours from the Middle Ages and are grouped into three sections: about spring, wine, and love, thus uniting the main aspects of human existence. The cantata "Carmina Burana" will once again show its powerful impact - as a philosophical depth and interpretation of eternal life issues and dilemmas, presenting polyphonic ideas in which symbiotically intertwined music, dance, and original scenography. The leitmotif "Oh, Fortune!" is the semantic frame of the cantata - symbolically turning the wheel of Destiny.
