In difficult times for all of us, when art is placed in an unusual situation, where artists and artists have no real opportunity to interact with live viewers, we present you an aesthetic pearl - the performance of the prima ballerina of the Sofia Opera and Ballet Marta Petkova and the premier ballet dancer Emil Yordanov. They were beautiful, impactful, touching, stylish, charming, radiating class and uplifted the Burgas audience at the Dance Gala, which performed on February 27, just two weeks before all performances were canceled.

The decision to establish a day of ballet art was made in Sofia in 1982, at the UNESCO session in Bulgaria. The International Ballet Day marks the birth date of French ballet master Jean-Georges Nower, who remains in history as the greatest reformer in classical dance. He is considered to be the "father" of ballet in its current form. Nower was born on April 29, 1727. He is the choreographer who introduces the characteristic positions of the hands and feet that still form the basis of classical dance. at the Paris Grand Opera and the London Opera. He has delivered over 80 ballets. In 1759 he published his work "Letters for Dance and Ballet," which laid the foundations for ballet "legislation."
