On behalf of the management of the State Opera - Burgas we announce that unfortunately, after last night's incident with the injury of one of the soloists in the ballet "Sleeping Beauty", which was postponed to 6.11.2020, today we have new unpleasant news - one of the artists in the ballet ensemble of the Burgas Opera gave a positive test for coronavirus.
This news comes only two days after the director of the Burgas Opera - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev received on October 12 the "Outstretched Hand" award at an official forum at the Boyana Residence - Sofia, organized by the National Association of Municipalities, as well as a plaque of gratitude for the protective masks provided by the Opera's wardrobes, handed over free of charge for the needs of medical and social institutions, as well as for the administrative sector, during the isolation in the spring of 2020.
On the occasion of the established illness of the ballet dancer, the Burgas Cultural Institution informed the Regional Health Inspectorate, the necessary sanitary measures were taken, all premises on the territory of the Opera were disinfected, and the ballet staff and all established contact persons were placed. under a 14-day quarantine to prevent the spread of the virus.
All colleagues - representatives of the management, administrative and artistic staff, as well as the technical services of the Burgas Opera, we wish the smoothest possible course of the disease of our artist and a speedy recovery!
The concert announced for October 18 - the recital of Mincho Minchev and Lyudmil Angelov, will take place. The hall will be subjected to complete disinfection, and the two famous soloists have not been in contact with the ballet dancer from the ensemble of the Burgas Opera. We ask everyone present at the recital to wear protective masks, as has been the requirement so far! According to the requirements of the Ministry of Health, the location of the places is in accordance with the required distance between the visitors.
