After the break imposed due to the complicated epidemic situation - initially in Burgas, then throughout the country, the Burgas Opera resumed its stage performances. The rehearsal process starts on April 1, when some of the imposed health measures are partially abolished at the national level, and the performances will take place again at 30% occupancy of the hall, in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures - to ensure the safety of both the public and the public. and the artistic composition.
On Sunday, April 11, at 11 a.m., in the Opera Hall, the musical comedy for children and adults "The Four Twins" by Georgi Kostov will be presented for the youngest fans of the art of music, as well as for their parents. The fairy tale in the style of "Bulgarians of old times" has an instructive ending. Children will learn a lot of facts from the life of the old Bulgarians and in an unobtrusive way they will be presented with life truths - about the power of promises, the powerlessness of gold before true love, the upholding of values that are irreplaceable and their presence in life brings satisfaction and joy. The production is by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Tekeliev, director - Darina Glavanakova-Bakardzhieva, scenography - Ivan Tokadzhiev, original costume designer - Anna Tokadzhieva, the dances, performed in Bulgarian folk style, are by Galina Kalcheva, assistant directors - Lina and Petar Tiholov. As soloists in "The Four Twins" on the stage will appear: Rositsa Videva - as the Grandmother, Branimir Nedkov plays four roles - the twins Belcho, Pastryo, Chernyo and Zhelcho, as Bonka / Boncho will be represented by Vessela Apostolova, Strina Gena will be Lina Peeva, Chorbadji Petko - Petar Tiholov Ballet dancers from the Burgas Opera troupe also take part in the production.
On April 13, at 7 pm, in the hall of the Burgas Opera, baritone Branimir Nedkov has prepared hits from Broadway musicals, united by the title Music Of The Night. Daria Krasteva and Nina Reichel will be on the piano. The concert performance also features Vessela Apostolova, Kalina Popova, and Stefka Hristozova.
On April 16, at 7 pm, Tsanislav Petkov will conduct the orchestra of the Burgas Opera at the symphony concert, which will include: Symphony №94 "Surprise" in G major / from the London Symphony cycle / by Josef Haydn, Symphony in D minor by Juan Chrysostom Arriaga and "Sarabanda" from "Classical and Romantic" by Pancho Vladigerov.
Another event for children is planned in the creative calendar of the Burgas Opera for the month - the musical for children by Alexander Yosifov "Alice in Wonderland" - on April 18, Sunday, from 11 am, in the Opera Hall. The director of the production, which has been performed over 100 times, is Darina Glavanakova-Bakardzhieva, the dances are the work of Galina Kalcheva, assistant directors are Lina Peeva and Petar Tiholov, who play the roles of Queen Cup and the Hatter. Alice will be Vessela Apostolova, the Red Cat - Branimir Nedkov, Rabbit - Miroslav Dimitrov, Prince Heart - Milen Dinolov. The ballet of the State Opera - Burgas also takes part in the entertaining performance, which is invariably welcomed by both the children's audience and the companions of the young spectators.
For fans of Russian romances, the State Opera - Burgas has prepared the concert "A cup of tea from a Russian samovar" - on April 20, from 19:00, in the Opera Hall, with the special participation of Edelina Kaneva, Nona Krastnikova, and Mira Iskarova - piano.
The long-awaited premiere of the ballet by Adolf Adam "Giselle", which was postponed last spring and instead of the costumes for the production, the wardrobes of the Burgas Opera began to sew protective masks, will take place on April 24 at 7 pm in the Opera Hall. The production and direction are by Galina Kalcheva, the set designer is Ivan Tokadjiev, the costume designer is Anna-Maria Tokadjieva, the assistant director is Petar Tiholov. In the roles we will see: Giselle - Ivanina Ivanova (debut), Albert - Emil Yordanov, Mirta - Adriana-Maria Manasieva (debut), Polina Ivanova (debut), Hans - Teodor Tsakov (debut). Soloists and an ensemble of the ballet of the State Opera - Burgas also take part in the fairy-tale performance.
The last event for April is the concert "Vienna Classics2", under the baton of conductor Tsanislav Petkov - on April 28, from 19:00, in the hall of the Burgas Opera. The first concert in the series, in which works from the Viennese classics - Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven - are performed, was on September 17, 2020, with conductor Yordan Daffov. The program will feature Mozart - Symphony №29 and Symphony №2 by Beethoven. The concertmaster of the orchestra of the State Opera - Burgas will be Yordan Kovachev.
