t is an honor and pleasure for the team of the State Opera - Burgas to invite the Burgas audience and the guests of the city to an event that will present on our stage distinguished ballet soloists and dance formations. They will fill the admirers of the art, subordinate to the Terpsichore muse, with a unique mood and energy and will fascinate with the magic of dance.

The dance gala, which includes a bouquet of classic, modern, sporty dances and attractive acrobatic combinations, will bring refinement, beauty, dynamism, and mood to the Opera Hall - on February 27th, from 7 pm. The audience will have the opportunity to experience the magic of dance art, in which will participate: the premiere of the Sofia Opera and Ballet Marta Petkova and the soloists of the Burgas Opera: Emil Yordanov, Ivanina Ivanova, Adriana-Maria Manasieva, Daniel Tichkov, Polina Ivanov. The wonderful dancers from Dune, led by Petya Stoykova, will present their non-standard and influential program, which incorporates philosophical elements that provoke reflection. An explosion of stage dynamics and stunning combinations will create the incredible acrobats from the Neftochimic 2011, led by Diana Koleva. The graceful couples of the Burgas 1975 Sports Dance Club will bring both a blasting Latino flavor to the dance evening and exquisite beauty to the rhythm of standard racing dances. The ballet ensemble of the State Opera - Burgas will take part in the rich and varied program of the Dance Gala - as a beautiful nuance to the overall aesthetic picture of the evening.

Fragments of ballet are included in the ballet program: Bayaderka and Don Quixote by music by Ludwig Minkus, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Corsair by Adolf Adam, Esmeralda by Caesar Pune.

Just a few days ago - on February 19th, 2020, the ballet troupe at the State Opera - Burgas, with the participation of graduates of NUMSCI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov - Burgas, presented with great success "Bayaderka" by Minkus at the Nikola Vaptsarov Drama Theater in Blagoevgrad, as the audience commented that such an extravaganza had not been created on the stage in the southwestern city long ago. The production is by Vasa Tonova and has been awarded the Golden Muse Award by the Association of Choreographers in Bulgaria for the past 2019.

The dance gala is based on the idea of ​​Galina Kalcheva, a longtime primal ballerina of the State Opera - Burgas and tutor of the ballet company.

About the Ideal Creator of the Dance Gala - Galina Kalcheva:

    Galina Kalcheva is a prima ballerina of the State Opera - Burgas. Primabalerian student Evgeny Krasteva. Her repertoire includes the roles of Juliet, Giselle, Paquita, Salome, Cinderella, Demna, Constance, Masha, and others. He has toured France, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Turkey, Macedonia and more. She has taught classical ballet at NUSSI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov "- Burgas, a teacher at the Kapka Children's Ballet School. Winner of the Crystal Lyre of the Union of Musical and Dance Workers, a graduate of the Ministry of Culture for contributing to the development of Bulgarian culture, winner of the Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Ballet Art at the Annual Fashion and Show Business Awards in Burgas. Winner of the Burgas Municipality Award on the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture.
