An unforgettable dynamic Friday evening was created by the SYMPHONY-MELODY ROCK concert tonight /August 11/ at the Burgas Summer Theater - Official page, under the baton of maestro Svilen Simeonov Svilen Simeonov - an undeniable favorite of the audience.
Hundreds of fans of rock music were shaken by an explosion of emotions that will long resonate in their memories.
Unforgettable rock hits sounded on the stage of the Summer Theater in Primorsky Park, in sync with the uplifted mood of the numerous audience, which ranged in age from 3-4 years to 70+:
"Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, "We Will Rock You", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Show Must Go On", "We Are the Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Mamma Mia" by "ABBA", "Satisfaction" by "Rolling Stones", "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis Presley, "Another Brick In The Wall" by "Pink Floyd", "The House Of The Rising Sun" by " Animals", "I Love Rock N'Roll" by "Eros", "Stairway To Heaven" and "Kashmir" by "Led Zeppelin", "Can't Buy Me Love" by "Beatles", "Gimme, Gimme" / "A Man After Midnight"/ by "ABBA" and "Sweet Child O'Mine" by "Guns and Roses" and others.
Of course, the audience asked for an encore. And it deserved not one, but two, as the iconic song from the 80s of the last century - "The Final Countdown" by the Swedish group Europe - was played as an exclusive finale. And due to the incessant applause and shouts of "More!", and after asking the audience - which of the rock pieces they want to hear again, maestro Simeonov gave the signal to the Bourgas Opera symphonies to perform the iconic "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin for the second time.
The orchestrations and adaptation of the eternal rock hits for symphony orchestra and rock band are the work of maestro Svilen Simeonov, who managed to ignite the audience - as always, with his characteristic intelligent sense of humor and attitude towards the large audience. He also thanked the excellent musicians from the orchestra of the Burgas Opera and Jazz Formation "Sofia", the concertmaster, the band leaders, the solo musicians, the whirlwind violinist, as well as the two temperamental talented vocalists - for the brilliant realization of the musical-scenic project.
The concertmaster of the wonderful orchestra of the Burgas Opera was Hristo Belchev. The soloists who presented - with sweeping emotionality and undisguised pleasure, the eternal rock hits were: the wonderful young instrumentalist Ralitza Petkova, Ralitza Petkova - electric violin, Yana Chakalska - vocalist, known to the general public for her successful participation in the music format "The Voice of Bulgaria", the charming Adriana Benova vocals.
In the incredible amalgamation of dynamics, hit music, and stormy emotions, the undisputed professionals from the Jazz formation "Sofia" at OKI "Nadezhda" - Sofia: the leader of the band and bassist Boycho Dechev, Yasen Vasilev - solo and rhythm guitar, Kalin Zhechev - keyboard instruments, Ivan Andreev - percussion instruments, Dimitar Bakardzhiev - saxophone.
At the "Symphony Melody Rock" concert, as at all musical events under the baton of Maestro Simeonov / the last of which - the exciting "Latino Pulse" / on June 21, also on the stage of the Summer Theater in Burgas and with the attractive participation of ballet to the Burgas Opera/, an exceptional musical evening was obtained, combining the vital messages of rock culture, which has an imprint on the world view of several generations.
The summer theater was rocked - literally! And those present not only listened to their favorite rock songs, but also sang, and the more temperamental ones danced.
Maestro Simeonov was like a fury, walking among the audience, explaining that he felt great joy from this fact, since for a year he was prevented from moving freely - due to a serious health problem / those present at the concert on the island of "St. Anastasia" in in the summer of 2022, they remember that he conducted in a wheelchair, but this did not prevent him from creating an incredible emotion - both for orchestra players and for the audience.
After the warm reception of the performances of "Beatles" songs, Svilen Simeonov announced that the "Beatles - the classics" project, which had been prepared for years, unrealized due to the pandemic, was about to be realized / the concert in the Opera hall was scheduled for March 2020 ., but failed due to the introduced full lockdown, the second date also failed - for the same reason/. The maestro announced to fans of the legendary group from Liverpool to keep an eye on the State Opera - Burgas poster for a new project with songs by one of the most beloved musical ensembles of all time.
In the Summer Theater of Burgas, there was a real celebration - after the meeting with the "Booker" winner Georgi Gospodinov - within the program of "With a book on the beach" - also in Primorski Park, people from the audience of the event and the rock concert with a symphony orchestra - this sign is indicative - of the taste and feeling for good music, professionally presented to the reading public.
And another indicative fact about the interest in the concert was the long queue in front of the box office of the Summer Theater of people waiting to buy tickets.

One cannot fail to note the high level of technical provision of the concert - such as sound, lighting, and effects - in order to obtain the overall festive appearance of the event.
The event "Symphony Melody Rock" was part of the program of the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakarov" 2023, realized for the sixteenth time by the Burgas State Opera and the Municipality of Burgas, and at the end of the emotional evening, the traditional floral greeting was presented on behalf of the Mayor of the Municipality of Burgas - Mr. Dimitar Nikolov.
