02 march 2022 Festive Scale Of The Solemn Concert At The Opera

On the eve of March 3, when we will celebrate the 144th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria, the Burgas Opera honored the national holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria with a CEREMONIAL CONCERT ON THE OCCASION OF MARCH 3.
The rich and varied festive program, under the baton of maestro Yordan Dafov, was presented by the soloists: Atanas Krastev, cello, Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, soprano and Yani Nikolov, tenor, the orchestra - with concertmaster Vanya Zlateva, and the Burgas Opera Choir - with conductor Mihai . Almost 100 performers presented an emotional meeting with works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi and Vesselin Stoyanov.
Those present in the Opera Hall had the privilege of experiencing exciting moments with the music of ingenious composers and talented musicians and singers.
Another one was celebrated before the concert
festive occasion for a member of the large family of the State Opera - Burgas. Vesselin Penchev, chairman of the trade union organization of the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Figures at the Burgas Opera, presented the prestigious award of SBMTD "Crystal Necklace" to Vanya Zlateva, concertmaster at the Burgas Cultural Institute. Excited, she thanked for the high honor, as well as for the opportunity to work for many years - with desire and dedication, at the Burgas Opera.
The festive program of the gala concert included: Egmont Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven. The young cellist performed on world stages and academic career Atanas Krastev performed - inspired, mature, with a romantic charge and filigree phrases on the forehead "Variations on a Rococo theme" for cello and orchestra, Op. 33 by PI Tchaikovsky.
Fully fitting the concept of the gala concert was the performance of "Festive Overture" by Veselin Stoyanov.
"Hallelujah" sounded majestically in the oratorio "Messiah" by Georg Friedrich Handel. The bearers of the Divine Charge of the genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was conveyed through the masterful performance of the musicians and choristers of the Burgas Opera through "Dies Irae" and "Lacrimosa" from "Requiem". The famous Jewish Choir (Va, pensiero) from Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucco was the emotional focus of the concert night. The bravura code of the concert under the exclusive baton of maestro Yordan Dafov, unifier of the ideological line of the program and the messages presented through the musical art, was the popular and beloved "Toast" from the opera "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi, with brilliant soloists Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova - soprano and Yani Nikolov - tenor. Characteristic of the festive concert evening were the very good condition of all performers in the large-scale concert event, the dense sound, the masterfully constructed dynamics and the emotional accents.
The beautiful stage layout, sustained in the style and colors of the Bulgarian tricolor, cannot be overlooked.
As a festive addition to the stage were the flower baskets on behalf of the regional governor Stoyko Tankov and the mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
The next event, dedicated to the Third of March and also included in the festive program of the Municipality of Burgas, is VOCAL CHAMBER CONCERT - on March 4 at 7 pm in the hall of the Burgas Opera, with the participation of soloists of the State Opera - Burgas, piano - Iliana Todorova, in the program - works by Bulgarian composers.
