17 november 2022 High Performance At the concert On Thursday

An emotional and at the same time stylish concert evening in the hall of the Burgas State Opera with a SYMPHONIC CONCERT under the baton of maestro Lubomir Denev-sin, who, despite his 34-year-old age, showed stability, class, and intelligent stage presence behind the conductor's desk. The soloist, his peer - the young violinist Stoimen Peev, was also impressive - both in the depth of interpretation and in technical mastery, allowing him to perform some of the iconic pieces from the violin repertoire with finesse, lightness, precision, and at the same time - with depth and the artistry, the complex passages. He was convincing both in the gentle nuances of the slow tempos, in the challenges of the double fingerboard, in the catchy pizzicatos, and in the sultry sensual legato.

Admirations were also earned by the musicians from the orchestra of the Burgas Opera, who were in sync - both with their conducting and interpreting skills, as well as with the messages of the works.
In the program tonight, November 17, in the Opera hall:
"Carmen" Suite No. 1 by Georges Bizet - a symbolic work that is met with constant rapture by the audience.
The concert program also included:
"Meditation" from the opera "Thais" by the French composer Jules Massenet - one of the most tender works in the violin repertoire, imbued with nostalgic pastoral beauty; "Gypsy" by Maurice Ravel, a representative of impressionism, and his "Gypsy" was presented virtuosically and soulful by Stoimen Peev, with swirling rhythmicity, dense sonority and emotional depth. The young violinist performed the indisputable and famous violin piece "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" by Camille Saint-Saëns, in which the whole spectrum of human experiences is reflected.
Stoimen Peev also presented a unique and in-depth reading of "Nuances" by Prof. Alexander Tekeliev.
The concert ended with the symphonic suite "Happy Birthday" by Prof. Tekeliev - the virtuoso piece, which is an emanation of the composer's inventiveness and versatile talent, has fresh humorous elements, and is a tease with famous musical quotes from Liszt, Puccini, Strauss, Mozart, Offenbach, Tchaikovsky.
The musicians performed the complex score with visible relish.
The soloist, the conductor, and the orchestral players deserved the applause of the large audience. And Prof. Alexander Tekeliev, whose 80th anniversary was solemnly celebrated on the stage of the Burgas Opera last month, attended the concert tonight and personally went on stage to congratulate the soloist, the conductor, and the musicians.
The traditional basket of flowers on behalf of the mayor of the Municipality of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, the flowers from young admirers, as well as the colorful greeting from the management of the State Opera - Burgas, were in the tonality of the overall festive atmosphere of the concert evening.
