20 july 2023 Not The Huntsman, But The Rain Saved Little Red Riding Hood
Today, the famous tale by Charles Perrault remained unfinished on the stage of the Amphitheater in the southern city of Sozopol.
The culprit was the sudden burst of rain, which did not allow the ballet troupe of the Burgas State Opera to present the story to the end.
Little Red Riding Hood was saved by the Wolf, who managed to claw (of course, only for the needs of the plot) the Grandmother. According to the canons of one of the most famous fairy tales, the Hunter was also unable to complete his noble deed and all together applaud the happy ending.
But outdoor performances always carry a similar risk, especially during this "hot" summer.
More importantly, the ballet dancers managed to play almost the entire performance with a lot of mood and attitude toward the audience, who, despite the sudden heavy rain, did not fail to send the artists off with well-deserved applause.
The traditional guest appearance in July of a performance by the State Opera - Burgas on the stage of the Amphitheater in the old town is at the invitation of the Municipality of Sozopol.
