10 october 2026 Joy For Children with "Patilantsi" At The Opera On Saturday

The sunny Saturday morning of October 10th brought a spirited atmosphere to the Burgas State Opera Hall with the cheerful children's show *Patilantsi* (The Mischief-Makers), featuring music by Alexander Yosifov, a libretto by Bancho Banov, and direction by Darina Glavanakova-Bakardzhieva.

The atmosphere in the Opera hall was festive—for the children, whose reactions are the most spontaneous; for their parents; and for the artists themselves, who genuinely enjoyed presenting this entertaining, well-known story with its happy ending.

The artists stepped into their roles with palpable enthusiasm, dedication, a genuine connection with the young audience, and respect for both the musical score and the beloved story. Magdalena Georgieva appeared as the famous Grandma Tsotsolana; Plamena Tsvetanova played Aunt Stanislava, the maker of inimitable cakes; Petar Tiholov took on the role of Uncle Gogo—the guitar-playing barber who knows only one song; and Alexander Perperiev portrayed Uncle Strati—an herbalist who is slightly hard of hearing yet thoroughly charming.
The famous Patilancho himself was played by Irina Dobrovolska, who brought great verve and original stage ideas to the role. Vesela Apostolova and her partner-in-mischief Stefka Hristozova took on the roles of Dana and Gana—playful, dance-loving characters full of mischievous spirit. Milen Dinolov played Dancho (who dresses up as a bear), while Miroslav Dimitrov portrayed the spirited rascal Gancho.

The most applauded participant—and the one with whom the children most wanted to take souvenir photos after the show—was, as expected, Lady the Chihuahua. Playing the role of "Tiger," she was decked out, naturally, in a themed tiger costume.
