01 november 2021 Magnificent "Bat" Аt Тhe Opera Оn Sunday
Sparkling mood - like sparkling champagne from the ball of Knyaz Orlovski, was on Sunday night in the hall of the Burgas Opera of the performance of one of the most beloved operettas of Johann Strauss-son - "The Bat" - directed by Darina Glavanakova-Bakardzhieva. Despite the unfriendly autumn weather, the complicated situation, and the long stressful period for all of us, despite the newly introduced conditions for attending cultural events, the Burgas audience, as well as the second premiere of "The Barber of Seville" a few days ago - the first performance in "new realities". proved that there are no obstacles to the pursuit of contact with living art.
And this not only speaks of the power of music, which charges, brings hope, purifies, and harmonizes, but also is a testament to the level of culture and empathy for the cause of art of those present at such events.
And maybe just the comic line, the funny plot puns, and the happy instructive finale - for all participants in the entertaining story with aristocratic flavor, garnished with beautiful outfits, polka, cancan, champagne, and lots of smiles, are so necessary today. To give us a brighter perspective in a less bright time. And hope in the good end - as in the good old operetta, when everything ends happily because tradition dictates so, is ubiquitous. And this is the mission of the Artist - to give it to the audience, to recreate a good fairy tale on stage.
Magnificent - as mood, interpretive mastery, inherent in the style and taste of Vienna finesse and sophistication - as presence and artistic energy, were the soloists, the orchestra - under the baton of maestro Tsanislav Petkov, concertmaster - Hristo Belchev, artists - with conductor Nevena Mihaylova, the ballet dancers - with tutor Galina Kalcheva. Strauss's music requires a special attitude and attitude - to sound with class and ease. There was a stage impact and it was obvious that the artists and musicians were having a lot of fun.
Admirations - for artistic, vocal, choreographic, and instrumental mastery, class and wonderfully made contact with the audience, deserved: primate Edelina Kaneva, soprano - as Rosalinda, tenor Marcho Apostolov / guest / - in the image of Gabriel von Eisenstein, soprano Aglika Petrova - - in the role of Adela, Lina Peeva - Ida, tenor Yani Nikolov - Alfred, Yordan Hristozov, baritone - Dr. Falke, tenor Miroslav Dimitrov - Doctor Blind, Kostadin Mechkov, bass - Frank, soprano Shmilena Sultanova - Knyaz Orlovski, Petar Tiholov, bass - Frosch.
Applause deserves all those who contributed to the successful implementation of the large-scale performance - Lina Peeva - assistant director, accompanists, technical staff - stage workers, sound engineers, lighting, cameramen, costume designers, organizers, makeup artist and hairdresser, prompter ... Yes, the theater team is numerous - as opera is the most complex and expensive art. And the result is noticeably good when each element of the system is in place and harmoniously interacts with the others.
And yes, the artists from the Burgas Opera achieved unanimity and harmonization of actions - again.
Of course, the traditional flower basket on behalf of the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov was present on stage at the end of the show.
Another successful show is in the annals of history. Let's wish a calm and unhindered creative Season 2021/2022 and beyond!
