04 april 2025 The Nessebar Audience On Its feet At The Finale of "Swan Lake"
Another success from the national tour of the ballet troupe of the Burgas State Opera with SWAN LAKE was tonight in the hall of the Artium Center in the city of Nessebar.
Despite the small stage for such a large-scale spectacle and the adaptation of the scenography, presented only with multimedia, due to the lack of opportunity to place the original lavish decor of the production, the performance was aesthetically pleasing and of a high performing level.
Admirations for all the magnificent ballet artists: prima ballerina Daniela Turtumanova-Stoyanova - in a brilliant stage tandem with Teodor Tsakov, soloist of the troupe - in the roles of Odette/Odile and Siegfried, Kiril Filipov - as Rothbart, Shun Calafune - in the image of the Jester, as well as all the wonderful soloists and ballerinas of the ensemble!
Everyone created - convincingly, emotionally and artistically, an exciting spectacle and brought the Nessebar audience to their feet, who saw them off with unceasing ovations.
At the end of the performance, baskets of flowers were presented on behalf of Mr. Nikolay Dimitrov, Mayor of Nessebar Municipality, and on behalf of the Ballet School at the Municipal Children's Complex - Nessebar.
The ballet troupe of the Burgas Opera already has over 15 performances in various cities in Bulgaria with the "ballet of ballets" - "Swan Lake". Tonight was their next brilliant performance in a full hall, and the next destinations this month are: Sandanski - on April 22, and Kyustendil - on April 23.
Good luck to the wonderful ballet troupe with tutor Galina Kalcheva and to the next performances!
Presenting an example of the best of classical dance art with the impressive staging of Prof. Hikmet Mehmedov /assistant director - Vesa Tonova/ the ballet troupe of the State Opera - Burgas not only popularizes the grace and complex beauty of ballet, but also brings incomparable aesthetic pleasure to the audience in cities where there are no professional troupes and there are rarely guest performances. And the meaning of art is for its messages to reach more people, to win more and more fans for the cause and to educate connoisseurs.
