14 october 2021 Nostalgic Beauty And Romance At the Russian Autumn Concert

On Saturday, October 16, at 7 pm in the Burgas Opera Hall, the audience will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of Russian culture - through music, poetry, and fine arts, syncretically combining their messages in a single suggestion. Soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, bassist Diman Panchev, and pianist Iliana Todorova will present the audience with moments of contact with the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Mikhail Glinka, poems by Sergei Yesenin and artists.

Here is what Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova, soprano, says about the upcoming chamber event:

"On October 16 at 7 pm on the stage of Opera Burgas, you can be transported to the fairytale world of the Russian treasury of music and paintings. This is another thematic concert of the opera house, which exposes the souls of the artists. Meters from the audience, in an absolute acoustic environment without microphones and "chemistry", you will hear the rarely performed songs from the eastern opus of Rimsky-Korsakov, songs by Glinka and Rachmaninoff and, of course, Tchaikovsky. Interestingly, the concert was decided as a walk in a museum and gallery. Viewers will enjoy paintings by Vrubel, Shishkin, Repin, Vosnetsov, and others. The paintings are selected for each romance and aria and will be projected on a huge screen with real resolution and colors. This is taken care of by the young artist and designer Diana Avelova, who studies in Paris, but is a passionate music lover and her dream to make costumes for big theaters now seems real. She is also the artist of another project "Time Travel" - with baroque music, which was received with great interest and continues to be presented. The technical part of the concert is by Dimitar Peshev, who has proven to be a professional in this field. For this project, there will be spectacular lighting that will take you to the East and the taiga ...

The music will be played under the fine fingers of the pianist Iliana Todorova, and the vocal parts are divided between Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova - soprano and Diman Panchev - bass.

In Russian culture, the important parts are just for these voices - the mystical and angelic, lullaby and tender of the soprano and that deeply sad and at the same time the passionate sound of the bass… Are you curious?

The program of the concert "Russian Autumn" will include:

"Sleepless Sun", "Sad Star", "Southern Night", "Lullaby", "Jewish Song", "Song of Zuleika", "Captured by a Nightingale Rose", "Nymph", "Don't Sing, Beauty" - Rimsky-Korsakov; "Doubts" - Glinka; "Not only the one who knows", "Lullaby", "In the yellow fields", "Have I not been in the field of grass", "I bless you forests", "Forget so soon", "Yolanta ariozo", "Tear trembles", "Among the noisy ball", "Crazy Nights" - Tchaikovsky; "Titular Adviser", "Melnik" - Dargomizhsky; "Night" - a Russian song; "Lilac" "It's good here" - Rachmaninoff.
