Just an hour after students from the Burgas "P.R. Slaveykov" school attended a performance of the children's musical "Alice in Wonderland" by Alexander Yosifov, the hall of the Burgas State Opera once again hosted another event dedicated to the children's audience - "Orchestra, instruments and sound", an educational concert, hosted by Iliana Gabeva, oboist in the orchestra of the Burgas Opera. Pupils from Burgas secondary schools - "Georgi Benkovski" and "Ivan Vazov" secondary schools, as well as from "Vasil Levski" primary school in the village of Prilep, Sungurlare municipality, were a wonderful audience, knowledgeable, active, and emotionally involved in the process of presenting the educational concert. The presenter Iliana Gabeva presented in an intriguing and casual way the functions and roles of the various musical instruments in the symphony orchestra, and the students received basic knowledge during the event, which took the form of an open lesson in a concert format. The students showed a marked interest in the individual instruments, with quite a few children familiar with the details of some of them. Each of the instruments in the different groups - strings, woodwinds, and brass, percussion - was presented - through the performance of a short motif - by the orchestra members of the Burgas Opera. Musical themes from classic works, from the films "Pinko the Pink Panther", "Harry Potter", and "Game of Thrones" were played, as well as the song to which no Bulgarian remains indifferent - "Silent White Danube". The presenter introduced the children to brief biographical data of the genius composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. One of his most popular pieces - "Little Night Music" was performed by the orchestra twice, and at the finale of the educational concert, three girls who deserved the privilege for their active participation in the process of communicating with the audience came on stage as conductors. of the presenter and asking questions related to the topics discussed.
