24 march 2025 Shaking Passions With a Performance of "Tosca" at the Opera

A moving performance of Puccini's masterpiece "Tosca" was presented tonight in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas.
Under the baton of the renowned conductor Ivan Kozhuharov, all the soloists ultimately merged the dramatic images of the tragic story: Yoana Zhelezcheva - as Floria Tosca, Kostadin Andreev /guest/ - in the role of Mario Cavaradossi, Alexander Krunev - as Baron Scarpia, Diman Panchev - in the role of Angelotti, Yani Nikolov - in the role of Spoleta, Kostadin Mechkov - Klisar, Petar Tiholov - Sharone, Ivan Grozev - Prisoner, Stefka Hristozova /as Shepherd Boy - voice behind the curtain/!
The choir, with conductor Alexander Chepanov, and the orchestra - with concertmaster Vanya Zlateva, as well as the young singers from the Children's Choir "Milka Stoeva" with conductor Marieta Seklempva - fully revealed the dramatic line through the musical text.

At the end of the exciting performance that moved the attendees to tears, the traditional basket of flowers was presented on behalf of the Mayor of Burgas Municipality - Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, with all events of the Burgas Opera House being under the motto of Burgas' candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032.
